I couldn’t believe this flat pack came without assembly instructions! A plastic tray would have been a better choice than the metal one included, which in time will rust. The spring-loaded doors make transferring birds more difficult (you need one hand to hold the door back) and there’s more potential for harming them. But it’s a nifty item once you’ve figured out where everything fits together, and the only one l could find online that includes both a solid and a barred divider. Hooded food containers help to reduce seed scattering. Update three months later... this cage has been great: it's easy to clean and move around. My canary hen refused to build a nest in it, though, and I've used it to house the weaned chicks. The tray hasn't shown any signs of rust so far. I'm about to reorder. Recommended.

Not adequate for intended use, very flimsy and badly built
product is offset not square, looks good in the photos but I definitely would not recommend this product, not as easy to build as some would sagest, better instructions would a plus regardless.

budgies are complicated birds to understand but get it right and they will be your best friend for 17 yrs or longer
I hope people aren't putting budgies in these cages. They "might suffice" as the last 3rd person wrote but it will depress the bird or birds.budgies are complicated birds to understand but get it right and they will be your best friend for 17 yrs or longer. They need and big enough cage to move about in with various toys and always fed on super fine Harrison bird food which are bird can always be converted on to with relative ease. It saved my birds life and she still eats and tiny bit of seed from my hand every day.
