Good Solid Sturdy.
Why Crescent - Known brand, good quality, fair price.Why 9/16" - That is the size for most door peep holes. In my installation experience 97% of peep holes are this size. This will last through multiple installs in wood doors. Metal doors you would have to use this size in a bimetal hole saw. These bits are for wood only.

It drills holes!
The bit goes around in circles and puts holes in things. It does this well.

Very Durable
Installing a couple hundred round spindles on a deck railing, having to drill holes in top and bottom rails to hold the spindles. Set up drill press to get accurate depth on all the holes and got started. I expected to go through a few drill bits on this job but I'm still using the first one and the job is done. The first drill bit is still going strong. Good quality at a good price. Thank you!!

It cut but not extemely sharp
I bought this to make holes in plastic storage bins. It tore holes instead of cutting them after a couple of uses.
