BlueWater PreCut Accessory Cord 3mm

I ordered this cord at the recommendation of internationally-renowned percussionist Michael Bettine, who swears this is the best way to hang your gongs.He's right, of course!The cord is really easy to work with -- even tying the unfamiliar Double Overhand Stopper knot that I decided to use for hanging my big Paiste gongs (which weigh 12-30 pounds each).It is easy to unpick the knot before you put load on it, which helps a lot when you are not really sure how long the cord needs to be for the job at hand.Once you put load on the knot, the cord doesn't slip and tightens up very securely.You must burn the end of the cord after cutting and before working with it, as it naturally frays. But the burning seals up the cord's fibers and I've seen zero fraying on the ends I've burned.I can wholeheartedly recommend this cord for the admittedly-niche task of hanging your gongs and other precious instruments! And the Double Overhand Stopper knot is the best knot I've found for the task.

I purchased the 7mm x 20 ft red BlueWater Accessory cord mainly as a multi-functional tool for my tool box. Lately, though, I've been using this particular hank to practice learning new knots. This 7mm version looses it initial stiffness after a couple days of play and turns into a nice, supple cord that's a joy to work with. Knots remain tightly and neatly tied without any slippage. And after you untie a complex knot like, say, the figure eight loop that had a substantial load added to it, this resilient rope returns to its natural shape without any left-over kinks, curves or creases. This is an excellent, high-quality accessory cord that feels well-made and expensive. It's not limited to light duties around the house and field like for that cordage you'd buy at Lowe's or Home Depot. This cord is a quantum upgrade to that. It's strong with minimal stretch and it's easy to store and care for. This is the good stuff. Wish I had a 1000 feet of this. Highly, highly recommended.

Perfect replacement for the pull start cord on my Briggs and Stratton push mower. This cord appears to be as tough as the OEM cord and will hopefully last a few seasons. Minor complaint is the cord did not arrive on a spool so a few minutes were needed to untangle.

I have used a lot of 3 mm BlueWater accessory cord, mostly for canoe outfitting, and it has never disappointed.

This is 3mm cord. It was slightly too big in diameter to make new/replacement zipper pulls for my fly fishing vest. It's perfect for my sleeping bag and tent zippers. Seems like good stuff.

This rope is about the size of para cord but doesn’t stretch as much as para cord. I would recommend this
