South Shore Flexible 2 Drawer Nightstand in Black Oak

I finally found a nightstand with built in power that looks contemporary, not overly ornate or decorative.The materials are sturdy and the drawers roll in and out very nicely. Easy to assemble ... just give yourself plenty of room and be sure to put down something to avoid scratching the wood finish ...

Looks great! Solid construction once assembled. Drawers slide smoothly. Very minor damage to some of the edges of some pieces, but was repaired with a black sharpy marker.

Great product, instructions were fairly easy to follow. But everything was labeled good. Purchased 2 for my new bedroom and like the look.

Just okay quality and the build instructions are poor. This is a heavy, presumably veneer (but maybe laminate) and particle board, piece of furniture. The only reason it earned 3 stars is that it looks good once built and the slide out and power strip on top is a great feature. But it should be less expensive for what you are getting. The back of the stand, and drawer bottoms, feel like reinforced cardboard. And ours came with a small chuck of the veneer/laminate and particle board broken off, right at the spot where a screw goes of course. But we glued the piece back on and screwed it in and it seemed to hold okay. The legs and drawer handles are metal. The silver around the bottom is just paint.

Couldn't be assembled because the nightstand was broken on one side upon arrival. This is a Huge disappointment as it was for my son who had been waiting for it. Also labeling the title Black Oak when it is laminated particleboard is like throwing dried pepperoni and dried cheese in a cracker box and calling it pizza. Very misleading.

The quality is simply fantastic for a "DIY" piece of furniture. We love it. I just wish the top was better thought out......they could have just left a nice circular hole, rather then not have it close all the way for your cords.

We ordered two. Insides don’t match. Also, the legs and handles are more of a gun metal gray and there is NOT a metal piece around the bottom as shown. Will make them work but not happy.

I liked this nightstand so much I ordered a 2nd one for the other side of bed. It doesn't look cheap at all, and I really love the charging area. I didn't realize it actually comes with a power strip, and the power strip gets mounted with screws, so it doesn't move around, and helps keep things neat.I wouldn't recommend trying to assemble with a plain screwdriver - I used a ratcheting screwdriver and that worked well.
