More Word Smart, 2nd Edition: 800+ More Words That Belong in Every Savvy Student's Vocabulary (Smart Guides)

I teach 11th and 12th graders and help prepare students for ACT and SAT testing. This book has been a gem. It teaches clearly, though I like to rearrange the order of the quizzes so students aren't learning alphabetically. The segments are short enough that the words are easy to incorporate into daily lessons. One of my students who has gone on to college still uses his and the original Word Smart book to improve his college vocabulary and to write better papers. I would recommend this to any high school student who wants to become college ready, or any adult who wants to refresh their usage and fluency in their lexicon. You don't have to be garrulous or loquacious, or even a logophile - this book is great for anyone who wants to know that they know their words. Buy it and enjoy!
