would not have bought it if I realized it doesn't whistle or make any sound at all. the lid is small so it is difficult to get your hand in to clean. plus it doesn't fit that tightly, so you need to use a hot pad to pick it up (wooden handle gets VERY hot) and another to hold the lid on so that it doesn't pop off and SCALD YOU

Beautiful kettle! Be careful of scorching if you use milk in the cleaning process when you 1st receive your kettle. Doesn't sit flush on my glasstop stove, there is a little but of a lip on the base.

Very good quality copper but awkward to pour. Beautiful design to look at but design not practical for busy mornings. The top can come off as you're pouring if you're not careful. It takes a long time to pour out hot water, which can make your arms tired from holding the kettle and lid up so long in the pouring position.
