Worked great!
I recently found an old VCR at a yard sale for $5, and I had some old home movies I wanted to digitize. With this thing, an RCA to HDMI upscaler, and a copy of OBS (which is free open source software), it was very straightforward. (It was a little time consuming, since I had to sit here while the tapes played and tell the software when they stopped, but it wasn't difficult.)The device pretty much just worked. I plugged it in to the computer, windows recognized it and installed a driver, and that was that.I'm not surprised the picture quality was good, as HDMI is a digital signal, so there's no need for the device to do any translation as such. But it's nice that these devices have gotten so cheap! I got the pair of them for under $25 total (in 2023); just a few years ago (2019) Technology Connections on youtube talked about using this kind of setup, and the cost for him then was around $100. The lower cost was a lot easier to justify for restoring my old home movies, especially as I wasn't totally certain they'd still play--they had visible white mold starting to eat the tape itself. But I was very happy with the results.

Worked like a charm...
My father was looking for crazy dongles to try to convert camera signal to usb... he kept looking for rca style connectors. I bought him this and it work fine, eliminating all the non working rube Goldberg connections he was trying.

Looks so good , but works not at all!
Sorry to say, but it does not work! It looked like a great devise... all the right features but lacks the quality to actually do the job. I really wish it had worked. I guess you don't get good quality for a bargin price!

Good quality & great price!
Bought this video capture card to be able use my Firestick TV on my laptop. Using the free Open Boadcaster software, it was quick and easy to get this working with the Firestick. I can't comment on other uses, but for using the Firestick with the PC, I highly recommend this product.

Lag, but beautiful picture
Using OBS, I was able to instantly see the HDMI stream. I was shocked at how straightforward the process was. The image quality was absolutely gorgeous. I played Mario Wonder and was shocked at the clarity. However, even though the lag is much less than I expected, it's still there. Games like Mario are just barely playable. Also, I couldn't get it to 60 fps live unless I lowered my capture resolution dramatically. Even when I did, the lag was still present. It's amazing that I can capture such clear video at 1080p with just an adapter. I am also impressed by the lower than expected lag. However, the lack of 60 fps and lag made it not quite ideal for playing an HDMI console in my laptop.
