Love it, love it, love it. As someone who cooks a lot I can tell you this product is very useful and necessary in every kitchen. Works better than I imagined. I used to freeze or refrigerate my broths and sauces, this does the fat removal trick right away. Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store.I have a feeling this will wind up being one of my most frequently used gadget favorites.

Five stars for the separator/1.5 stars for masher that arrived with what looked like road rash. Really wanted to love this. The design itself is great for the separator and not the greatest for the masher. The separator is easy to take apart, wash in the dishwasher and reassembled easily. The masher, though not used was run through the washer twice and the black spot nor indentations still will not come off. I’m sending it back. The ball handle fits well in the hand, but the handle collects water from the washer, so you may want to wash yours by hand, as bacteria will grow in there otherwise then drip onto your food the next time you use it. I also think it should be taller for a deeper pot of potatoes, most of my mashers are at least 4 inches taller.Not sure about the durability.

Got this for the gravy separator, which is perfect and wonderful and I love using it. The potato masher is less so. It is no easier or better than my old stand-by masher, and not as good as a ricer.

The button to let out the liquid didn't work, it was stuck.

broke first use

I love the fat separator!! It works sooo well. Stops liquid quickly, no leaking st all. This may be a great item to drop batter into cupcake cups, too, I think. I have actually only used the potato masher to separate ground beef in the skillet, but it does feel good in my hand. Extremely happy with my purchase.

Bigger than I wanted or needed.

I haven’t used the potato masher yet. I bought the set for the gravy separator, which was so easy to use and worked like a charm. Even after using Dawn liquid and running it through the dishwasher , a greasy film remains. I can live with that .
