Caroma E66 - good, inexpensive scooter...
First off, I'd like to state that anyone claiming the the E66 will get 25 miles of range apparently doesn't know how the range measurements are calculated. Max range is a 165lb rider, flat ground, on the lowest speed setting. So, realistically, you'll never achieve that range. That's not a bad thing, it's just facts. Now, on to my personal review. The scooter was easy to assemble. All I had to do was unbox it, connect the power cable to the controls, and put in the 4 screws (tools are included, so don't worry about not having the correct equipment). Overall build quality is quite good. Better than id expected, considering I've owned a few, more expensive escooters in the past. This is a well built machine. It came mostly charged, so I topped it off and took it for a milage test ride around my neighborhood. My area is 99% flat, with a few small dips and rises. I'm also about 250lbs, so take that info into consideration if you're around the same weight. The scooter can handle up to 300lbs, but don't expect to zoom around on it. Fully charged it topped out at 19mph, which isn't bad. On one of those little rises it slowed down to about 16mph. Still more than acceptable. By the time I reached the 9 mile mark (it made it to 9 miles!!!), average speed was about 13mph. The voltage sag is real with this scooter. LoL!Next, I'm not going to cover controls, features, or functions really, but the ability to change speeds, turn the lights on and off, and even activate cruise control via the control pad with your left thumb is a game changer for me. That alone is a feature that more electric scooters should have. Bravo to Caroma! Now, I'm going to mention a few other electric scooters I've recently tried, and the main reason I returned them, and I've decided to keep the Caroma E66. The hiboy max pro, which is designed to get long range, with a bigger battery and 500 watt motor, gave me 8.1 miles and almost left me stranded. The range estimates are way off. Next escooter was the Inmotion Climber. I'm not going to lie, but the power and torque with it were fantastic. It's also decently quick. Then there's the range. I made 12.7 miles before it went into power conservation more, and I crawled back home with it. Not what id expected, since BOTH should have given me a bit more range. I'd expected, minimum, 15 miles from both, and neither delivered. The Caroma E66 is the winner IMO.I'll now explain why the Caroma E66 is the better deal, and a fantastic bargain for this price point (around $400 via prime, as the others don't tell you about the additional shipping costs, which brings it in line with the prime price point). There's something called value for dollar, and this electric scooter delivers! For around $400 the performance is pretty solid. I mean, if I were a few pounds lighter, I'm sure I'd have gotten longer range, as would be expected. But for what you pay, and what you actually get, this is the best option for commuting, at this price.Oh, yes, I almost forgot. This escooter has solid tires, and they're excellent for flat prevention, because they're flat proof. The one downside is the ride is rough on anything but smooth streets. You'll feel like your teeth will shake loose. There is a rear spring shock, but it only provides minimal shock absorption. It's definitely not for rough terrain. Now, last part is a request for Caroma. PLEASE make a model with a few upgrades.#1 larger battery. The reason should be obvious.#2 dual motor. This scooter would climb like a mountain goat. It has a 500 watt motor, but 2 350 watt motors would also be sufficient. 500 would be the bees knees! LoL!#3 just keep making a quality product.Update: I lost my charger, and I tried to purchase a new one. Instead of selling me the charger Caroma sent it to me for FREE! Now THAT'S EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE, and they definitely went above and beyond. Caroma is an excellent company. AAA+++ 10 Star rating!!!

Loved it So Much We Purchased Another One
I had so much fun on this little scooter that my husband wanted one, too, and we ordered another. Now, we're the couple who rides our scooters around the neighborhood at sundown. The price point is excellent for the quality. It lives up to its description. It is rated for a top speed of 15.5, and that is accurate. Personally, I wouldn't want it to go any faster. Super steep hills will slow it down or stop it, but I used foot power at the top of the steepest one on our route, which exceeds its specs, maybe five push offs, and then it took over again. It is rated for pavement, but we took ours down dirt roads, too, and it did great. You never know what you're going to encounter, even on pavement, so it is nice to know it can easily go over the occasional rock, rut, divot, and dirt. The first one I purchased came fully charged, right out of the box. All it required was putting on the two handle grips, which takes about one second each. Unfold it, and off you go. The second one I purchased, however, was not fully charged, so I followed the instructions and charged it first. The charger has a light on the charger box, red means keep charging, and green means you're ready to unplug and go.It has a convenient kickstand, two systems for braking, one on the handlebar and one using your foot on the back wheel (my preferred way), and a safety mechanism for starting it that requires that you push off first.More thoughts: The scooter has a light on the front, for night time scooting. It also has a MPH indicator, gear changer (it has 3 which are controlled by the arrows), and a battery indicator. It is light enough to be transportable, yet heavy-duty. I love the blue matte color we chose for ours.Last night, we went for a 3.5 mile ride and we both used one bar on the battery indicator out of the 4 bars. That route has very steep hills. We're going to take it on a longer excursion around a lake this week, and through the town on the lake, which will give us a better idea of how many miles it gets on a relatively flat surface. The fun we've already had on these scooters has made them worth every penny.

Fast
The battery charger didn't work, but they are sending another. It was charged on arrival. It's fast so please make sure you or your kids wear all protective equipment. It's very quiet. The battery life is good. LED lights are nice to have. Very sturdy.

Doesn't turn on, seller and Amazon are useless for return
It's a beautiful scooter and was easy to set up. I plugged it in to charge for the required 5.5 hours, it won't power on. No matter how I press the button it won't turn on. A real let down especially for my teen who was so excited to get it. I've contacted seller and Amazon but no one is able to yell me what shipping carrier to use to return it!. The seller keeps giving me the run around and won't just tell me who to ship it with. Probably going to have to dispute charge with credit card company because seller and Amazon aren't doing anything.

Good
Easy to get going. I would give 5 stars, but the box came a little beat up, not bad, but the screws and wrench had fallen out. Good thing is the instructions said what size they were, so it wasn't hard to get them. After that, it seems to be a good thing, goes in tall grass, gravel, pavement. Solid tires are great, no flats.
