Well known product.
Better than cheapo products. Good to know a decent supplier of 60/40 solder, not the lead-free stuff that is unusable.

Great in all aspects

good value
proper lead-solder (lower melting point so easier to use) - just open a window when using it - common sense says don't breathe the fumes!

Solder must be good quality to avoid poor/cold solder joints.
Solder must be good quality and flow properly to avoid a cold solder joint. It must also contain a good flux/resin. Flux aids the soldering process by removing oxide films which form on the surface of metals being soldered. Flux cause the solder to flow uniformly over surfaces. Nowadays where are lead free solders which are healthier as there are no lead vapours getting in your lungs. However, if you only solder now and then I would not use lead free solder. I have soldered frequently since the seventies and have tried lead free but with poor results, it's much easier to solder with the leaded solder. Weller solder irons are for the professionals and the best, and their solder the same. This lead containing Weller solder is superb for the hobbyist, but just make sure there is a draft blowing the fumes away from you. I would buy same again when I run out.

Some of the best solder you’ll ever use.
This stuff, is awesome. It’s probably some of the only solder I’ll ever use going forward.. it makes soldering a breeze — no more cheap Chinese rubbish solder that doesn’t wet, burns, and never ‘sticks’.As a hobbiest, this stuff makes life exponentially easier, behaving exactly as you’d expect, rather than simply being a nightmare, like the cheap stuff you’ll find in other kits. From one of the industry leaders to boot.. great value.

Proper lead solder.
When I first unknowingly used Lead-Free Solder some years ago, I thought it was some kind of joke. It would not melt properly or flow. It didn’t adhere to the circuit board solder pads, and so I threw it away, luckily spotting the reel said Lead-Free before it hit the bin. Now Proper Lead Solder is becoming more difficult to find, and I buy it up whenever I spot it. Some new items are better than before, but with electrical solder, we have gone a step backwards. Health and Safety some folk say, but I soldered electronics for 60 years, and I am still here.
