Feiyen Outlet Wall Mount Hanger Stand for Dot 2nd Generation Without Mess Wires Or Screws, Space-Saving Holder Case Plug Mounting Bracket in Kitchens, Bathroom and Bedroom (White 2018)

I have recently gotten into smart automation using plugs, switches, etc. all controlled through Alexa. I have a Gen3 Dot in my bedroom using a Gen 3 holder and decided to put the older Gen 2 in my bathroom to expand my voice control coverage. When I have guests over I put it in the guest room while they are here so they could have music, turn on/off the lights, etc. My Gen 3 moved around a bit at first so I liked the ability to just pull it off the wall and plug it in somewhere else no muss, no fuss! This mount has worked out great for moving it around on demand, no wires in the way and no side tables needed. As you see in the picture above it lives in my Master bath so I don't have to scream commands into my bedroom anymore and the music is there to listen to not from another room blaring loud (this is especially nice since I had just added Amazon Music Unlimited to my Prime membership). I don't find any issue with the audio or with being heard while in the mount and I love the fact that its out of the way as the only plugs in the bathroom are on the vanity between or to the side of the sinks. This mount as you can see in the picture not only keeps it off the vanity top itself but having the ability to hang it with the dot on top protects it even more. Some of the other holders I looked at could not support the weight on top. I think the replacement of the wire with the mini wire is the key, it reduces the weight considerably and makes it so much easier to put together too (no wires to wind precisely around the mount). I would definitely buy this again for the portability, safety position it allows, and the lack of impact on the audio both in and out. As the Gen 3's proliferate the older Gal's still need lovin' too so find a good place to hang it and ask her for some tunes :)

This item is a simple but excellent idea for Echo Dot owners. The Dot being as small and minimal as it is, there's no need for it to take up space on a table, counter, or whatever. With the help of this gadget it can just sit on a wall below or above the outlet it's plugged into. No horizontal surface space is taken up, and there's no cord trailing all over the place or looking messy and bunched-up. If you already own a Dot, this thing will instantly give you a host of new options as to where you put it. And if you don't own one yet, this item pretty much solves the problem of where you can put it -- you no longer need a horizontal surface that's near an outlet.My one small complaint about this item is that I spent a fair amount of time being confused about how to put it together. I figured it out eventually, but some simple instructions would have saved me time and frustration.

Overall it seems like a sturdy product. The instructions consist of a sheet of images that was a little confusing but I got it together. The only thing I don't like is the loss of the ability to turn the top ring to adjust the volume. It will not turn in the mount so you have to either use the volume buttons or ask it to adjust the volume. It also requires the original sized wall outlet. If you lost it - you will need to buy another one - it only takes the long outlet that comes with the echo dot. It is nice to have the device on the wall instead of on the counter in my kitchen. It's much easier to see from all around the kitchen, there are no visible wires, and it doesn't take up any counter space.

Works as advertised and I am satisfied with my purchase. I have mine on a horizontally oriented outlet and it fits snug (enough). I could see where this might not be the case on every outlet in my house. Another product has a dummy 3rd plug (ground) that would add more stability, however it has been up for a week and has not lost connectivity, so I guess it will be fine. The little pigtail cable you get could have the plug 90 degrees rotated to fit the housing better. As it is, you bend it pretty hard to fit in the plug housing. A little pricey for what you get. 4.5 stars

It does exactly what I thought it would do, except that you have to use your own Echo plug. The unit comes with a shortened cord which neatly replaces the one that comes with the Dot.It's not the strongest of construction, and should be mounted with the Dot towards the bottom and should be unobstructed by furniture and other obstacles for sound quality, so outlet placement needs to be thought out ahead of time.It's ideal for areas where you don't have anything but a clear wall and outlet, where you otherwise would not have a place to rest a Dot on.

Not much to say really, it does exactly what it is supposed to do. It is a little larger than I imagined it to be, but still leaves room if you want to plug it and something else into the outlet. I mounted it with the Dot above the outlet, not hanging below like it typically shows, but even without using the little adhesive sticker that comes with it, it stays put just fine. I noticed some don't come with a short cord and you have to use the original cord, but not sure how well that would fit inside something like this, so the fact that this one came with a short power good was good.

Have been looking for a good wall mounts since our first dot a few years ago… I have a few favorites that I won’t bother listing here that but all of the mounts that I saw enclosing the power module mostly rated low and appeared so flimsy I didn’t waste my time… Took a chance on this one and am very happy with the product. The plastic is not fragile but sturdy and solid. I was able to install without any issue in less just minutes and it happily hangs on our kitchen outlet… Think I’ll buy a few more. Recommended

I don't understand people leaving negative reviews on this product. I can't findany fault with this! It fits the dot (2 generation) perfectly,hides the wires,easy to install,reasonably priced and doesn't look bad. Now my house is 15 years old and the plugs are in good condition so if you have a older home where your plugs are worn out then don't buy this product it won't hold the weight. It's not the product fault that your plugs aren't in good condition so it won't stay plugged in! Unhappy people shouldn't leave reviews on products they will find fault with anything !!!!Lol

Used the hanger to get rid of extra untidy cords

I've tried several Echo Dot mounting systems and this Feiyen Dot Hanger is one of the best I've tried.The installation is easy ... the echo dot slips into the holder and the power supply fits into the top/bottom slot. The assembly hides all the cables and makes the dot and power supply on solid unit.You can plug in the mount in either direction with the mount on the top or the bottom of the plug. I found in either orientation the weight of the dot would pull the plug out of the socket a little and the dot would end up looking crooked against the wall.A small piece of double faced iPhone tape anchored the plug solidly to the electrical outlet and solved the issue.Overall this is one of the cleanest mounts I've found for the Echo Dot. I've purchased a couple of these to date and have now tried another brand "Dot Genie" . The dot Genie is a little more compact than the Feiyen mount and is also more money. I think both brands of mounts are expensive but they both do a good job and get the echo off the kitchen counter. This was for the bathroom so I wanted something that is clean looking. I use to have a short wire and double side tape the Echo DOT to the mirror but this solution is much better. I can also put a figurine or something on it for decoration. These really should be like $10 since it's just a piece of plastic but worth it I guess. I wish the amazon power adapter wasn't so big but the 3rd gen DOT has a smaller adapter now.

This thing is really good. It's great to hide any wires and because of where I have it placed it's overall very discreet (which is my intention). The only think I noticed, which is slightly annoying is that if I have to move it for whatever reason, the plug pushes into the holder too far and the dot won't plug in unless I pull it back out and squeeze the plastic so the plug doesn't get pushed in. Overall a neat little holder for the dot.

I really like this product. I only have one side table in living room, and as such, the device was located directly in front of one of my surround sound speakers for my TV and stereo, as well as the powerful Bluetooth speaker the dot was is paired with. As a result, the echo dot couldn't hear my voice requests, so I placed the dot in this hanger stand in my adjacent dining room, away from the speakers and she can hear me just fine. I also like this model over some of the others I've seen on Amazon because the wire connecting the dot to the frame is hidden. It just looks nicer.
