UNICORN Salt and Pepper Grinders - Team AWESOME!
Recently, I was at a restaurant with a girlfriend. We were sipping wine, discussing travel plans and looking at the ocean thinking this can't be 75 degree weather in February!! But it was - how fortuitous! I should have known it would foretell something great was about to happen. A little time passed and we started chugging wine [which never happens] and we ordered food.When the server brought out our meals, he offered to grind fresh pepper on mine and I said yes please. Then he whips out the UNICORN grinder from a holster on his belt - I thought WTH - that might be the coolest thing I have ever seen! I asked to see the brand and he showed me the UNICORN marking. I got home knowing I had to find the UNICORN PEPPER GRINDER! Logged on to trusty-dusty Amazon and found it.,,, yes, Amazon even sells UNICORNS! Then saw that there was also a Salt grinder and figured it would be cool to have both so I ordered the UNICORN Salt and Pepper grinders. I love them!!! PSSST - I will let you in on a secret,,,, I may order the holster, too ;)

Simply the best for cooking!!
These grinders (got the salt and pepper) are another notch up on my one handed electric grinders. I was shocked that the pink himalayan salt I got to go with the salt grinder wasn't recommended because of the size of the rocks I just ground them down a bit and mixed with coarse table salt and it seems to work fine. I really love that the salt comes right out with only a slight twist. The pepper also grinds very nicely. I bought about 4 different kinds of peppercorns to use in the pepper grinder lol. If I were a server I'd have these in holsters.

Great salt and pepper grinder but kinda strange they can’t stand up on their own.
I love the grind on Bothell the salt & pepper. It is easy to adjust the size of pepper grounds which I did until I got it just as I wanted. The only downside is you can’t set them down without the holders as they fall over and then when I am at end of cooking project look all over counters to find if I set them down flat or guests don’t know to put back in holder. That is why I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 star. I do use them all the time.

Great, but don;t ask any questions
These are great grinders but if you have any questions don't bother contacting them here or on their website, they will never answer. I have tried a couple of times.

Never owned better grinders.
I have always been very particular about my grinders. I have spent hundreds of dollars on them over the last decade and been through many brands both expensive and inexpensive. There is only one other company that makes grinders that I love, but Unicorn Mills just took 1st place for me. I am ordering some other grinders they have for my kitchen right now!

What you expect PLUS!
The base holders eliminate the small pile that was left behind from all previous grinders. The rest of what we like is what you expect from grinders but always fell short. Everything to like about these grinders!

Works OK but with reservations
Not a bad set of grinders. Both the salt and the pepper come out in to large of a quantity so I'll have to adjust. They're a little tall and would tip over if someone shakes the table. The narrow neck makes it difficult to fill. Would not buy again.

Make sure you get the right salt.
Since they don't offer the old salt and pepper grinders any longer, these must be the next best thing. I still love the original ones but I had to buy these for my son so he wouldn't take mine. 😄
