Sonoran Spice Ghost Pepper Powder, Pure - Bhut Jolokia - 3.75 Oz

I constantly am cooking with the need of varying heat levels. I have this as well as their jalepeno, habanero, and Carolina reaper. The spices are top notch especially the ghost pepper. Very good kick to it that lingers. I was a little disappointed in the Carolina reaper. I think the consistency of heat matched with the price makes this the best value out of the 2. Have not tried the scorpion but for the price to Scoville rating I don't think I am interested. Hope this is helpful.

I admit, this is the hottest pepper that I've ever tried.And believe me, I tried hundreds...It is very hot (not at first but in a minute or so).However, it is not like what you've seen in the videos all over the internet.I don't cry, or roll over on the floor or something when I taste it.The problem is, at this price, ($25 for 3.75 ounces, including the $5 for shipment) it becomes meaningless, or pointless let's say.Check these numbers (without the shipping cost):1.5 oz >> $133.75 oz >> $208 oz >> $281 lbs = 16 oz >> $50Don't tell me about the bottle costs, logistics, carbon footprint etc.This pricing strategy is wrong! The heat level vs price = NOT WORTHY,The heat level does not justify the high price.In my opinion, including the production cost, labor, management, logistics, etc. I think this pepper is worth not more than $17.40 for 3.75 oz. I'll come back and buy a lot more when they adjust the price 'bubble'.

Be prepared! This is so incredibly hot. It only takes the tiniest bit. Love this product!

Actually carries a great flavor, spirnkle on anything you feel needs a little kick, but not too much, it will lock you up. Shipment arrived promptly

Wow! That's the only word I can use to describe this intensely hot pepper. It is almost addictive, it's so flavorful with it's degree of heat. It only takes a tiny sprinkle to heat most dishes thoroughly. It even made me cough the first few times I uncapped it, because I was sprinkling it too high in the air. Thus, be sure you sprinkle rather low to the dish that you're seasoning. It makes the Habenero pepper taste like like a jalepeno, in comparison. I can see why they call it Ghost Powder...too much of this stuff and you could become a Ghost!
