Not too bad
I learned a lot from this book. Keeping all the information straight was my biggest problem. I bought it for school.

Easy to read
I have been reading several books about Durkheim, Marx, and Weber for my dissertation, and I found this book of one of the best. What makes me like this book are three. First, this book is written in plain English. I didn't expect reading those scholars' work is this much easy to understand. The author thoroughtly review those scholars' books directly and then put his extensive comments and explanations. Just reading direct quotes of those scholars made me "what..? what..?" but once reading the author's explanations, I was like "ah..oh..I see...." Second, the author often makes comparisons between the scholars. For example, I understand what Marx and Weber talk about social class but didn't get the similarities and differences in the arguments between the scholars. But, the author often makes comparisons in writing social class. Lastly, the author explains something again and again. Some may find this redundant, but since the content of this book is heavy, explaining one concept by using various words and sentences helped me understand Durkheim, Marx, and Weber.

Excellent course text for sociological theory!
This is an excellent course text for sociological theory. Students will find this book to be one of the best overall guides to classical social theory and the central ideas of Marx, Durkheim and Weber. It is especially useful for writing term assignments and essays on all topics related to sociological theory because of the extent of the factual information provided and because the concept glossary offers students the clearest definitions of all the central terms and concepts found in the works of classical theory.

Excellent Introduction to Classical Sociology Theory
This well known text book us n excellent introduction to classical sociology. It provides a very readable summary of the three founding figures whose work laid the foundation of sociology as a discipline. Each section outlines the major theoretical contribution of each authority. The test is written using no jargon and so is easily understood by non-specialists and as such is a good introductory work. It has a good bibliography which will provide a starting point for further reading.
