Good 98% cotton throw sized quilt batting...
I'm an amateur quilter who is always looking for good quilt batting. My favorite size of quilt to make is lap/throw size so this 60”x60” piece is the perfect size. This particular quilt batting is nearly 100% cotton so it's a little different from the polyester that I'm used to. It arrived well packaged and folded up. The batting is a medium weight and feels both well constructed and densely woven. It is not overly fluffy but is soft to the touch. It lays flat and has a smooth-ish surface that lends itself to machine quilting. The color is off -white, kind of unbleached and natural. There is a mild grass-like odor to it when you first open the package and unroll it but that tends to go away after it has aired out some. The listing says it is machine washable which I haven't needed to do yet, however, that is a big part of what attracted me to this item in the first place. Overall I'd say that this is a good piece of quilt batting and I'd have no problem ordering it again...

Soft and easy to work with
My wife does some quilting from time to time, and finds this batting to be soft and easy to work with, very similar to Warm and Natural, which is her usual go to for batting. This was an unusual size, 60 inches square, where she is more used to 60 inches by 45 inches, which would make this good for a throw quilt or a baby blanket with leftover for smaller projects.

Nice quilt batting
I used this to finish a small quilted throw. It was easy to work with and worked well.

Good quilting batting
I was quite impressed with the quality of this batting. It's soft and not stiff and the tie is as described. However, I would say this is closer to light weight batting than medium weight batting

Very soft
Nice even quilt batting. I used it for this baby quilt and was VERY happy with the light to mid weight. I didn't prewash my fabric or the batting. I washed the quilt after quilting and am thrilled with the results and loft. Highly recommend this affordable cotton batting for value and quality.

The BEST
My quilter mom says this is the best quilt bat she's ever used. She loved that there's no jagged or uneven edges that have to be trimmed. Soft. VERY VERY soft. Softer than the stuff they sell at JoAnn's. Evenly dense. Good thickness. Highly recommend, will be buying more.

Great Batting
When making potholders, I got some of the heat proof batting, but I also wanted to have more batting to give the potholders a thick feel to them and even less danger of burning your hand. I was making some potholders as small stocking stuffers for the women in my life. For some reason I was having trouble making all but one pair of potholders. I loved having this cotton batting in the potholders as the piece stayed together and no bits and pieces coming off. No whiskering either. I look forward to using this batting in a quilt as it gives a great feel to a project. I loved handling it. I have always used polyester batting, but I think I am changing over to cotton batting for future quilts. To spend all the time piecing a quilt top and then not putting it together with good batting is a waist of time.I appreciate the opportunity to try out this batting. Thank you.

Thin batting 1/8 inch thick before compression
LENAILIN Quilt Batting Throw Size 60" x 60" Medium Weight Batting Roll ,Natural Cotton Batting for Quilting. This listing says it is a medium weight quilt batting. This is 1/8 inch thick before any compression such as placing it between two pieces of fabric and pinning it. I do not consider this to be a medium weight batting. To achieve a decent thickness in a finished quilt would require two layers of this batting. In addition, it is covered with little pills of fiber and shaking it out caused fibers to release from the batting and float through the room. I've never seen this with a quality 100% quilt batting before. This will be okay for making quilted pot holders, because it is obviously a natural fiber, but I don't think I'll be using it for any quilts.
