A Great Tale From Deann Black
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Every once in awhile I discover a truly delightful author in my reading 'travels'. Deann Black is one of those writers. I like how she weaves a tale with interesting characters and plotlines. Both of those are in full evidence in 'The Cure for Love'. A town full of odd, yet endearing, folks and an entertaining premise kept me interested throughout.Ms. Black is extremely talented in her telling of a romantic story. She studiously avoids the usual cliches, i.e. overuse of inner dialogue, sappy references to a character's physical and emotional response to falling in love, and drawing the story out unnecessarily. She tells her tales in a timely manner, gives all her characters their due, and doesn't go down the obvious road. Quite often you find yourself wondering throughout her books exactly how it all will play out.'The Cure for Love' is no exception. It is a bright, entertaining read.

Delightful!
Delightful, amusing & entertaining! I've loved reading every novel & novelette of Ms. Black's! This one was delightfully entertaining, giving myself over to chuckling on about her descriptions of her characters& their foibles.I'd recommend Ms., Black' s books to others like myself who prefer light & amusing reading -- books with endings that leave the reader feeling happy & looking for another to add to ones collection of light-hearted love stories.

Refreshing.
I think that Dee-ann Black is a great author. I can't believe I was laughing and reading this book at the same time. Granted it was a short story, but by golly it was well written. I felt like I was watching a movie. The change in scenes from Daisy in Cornwall to Sebastian in London was classic. She transports you through the story with ease, where you don't miss a beat. It's brilliant. It's a fast passed book so if you can't handle that, then this in not a book for you. I do recommend it. It's another one that is worth the price.

Fun! Fun, Fun!
I loved all the characters in this book. I could easily see this turned into a movie. The minute Daisy arrived in Cornwall, she didn't stand a chance against the well meaning villagers. What a hoot!

The Cure For Love by De-ann Black - Amazon Kindle
This was a lovely book, with romance and lots of humour. A delightful read. The characters were very entertaining. Adorable reading.

Couldn't even finish
This read almost as though the author had originally intended this to be a screenplay and then fleshed it out into a novella. The scenes jumped so choppily from one to the other that I was confused and had to go back and re-read to make sure I hadn't missed anything. There were no transitions to let you know the scene had jumped from the previous paragraph's characters to new characters in the next paragraph. Speaking of characters: I found none of them likable. I didn't care what happened to any of them as they were all rather self-absorbed and shallow. Rather like caricatures of people rather than fleshed out personas.

Memory Lane
De-ann has the gift of writing which keeps your interest from the first page, which takes you to whatever part of the world the story is set in. This time it is Cornwall and made me remember all the holidays I have enjoyed there with the added bonus of it also being filled with interesting and believable characters which makes for another good read.

Enjoyable story but too rushed
It's a most enjoyable story, with great supporting characters, but I felt you were propelled through it at breakneck speed. It could have been a lovely book taken at a slower pace, with more development of the characters and a more fleshed out plot. I am tempted to buy more of her books, but not her novellas, as I'm wary that they will have the same rushed effect. I notice that De-ann writes screenplays, and this is what this book felt like - an outline for a film.
