For Lightning port iPhones. Moves photos to a SD card for easy transfer to a laptop or hard drive.
Review for SD Card Camera Reader for iPhone iPad, Dual Card Slot Memory Card Reader Support SD/Micro SD cards. This is my new favorite tech accessory. I wanted an easy way to move photos from my iPhone to my laptop while still retaining the full quality of the photo. Apple will reduce the quality/resolution of the photos if the photos are not transferred directly to a new device. I had bought a USB to Lightning thumb drive, but my iPhone wouldn't recognize it.Prior to this card reader, I was having to email my review photos to myself so that I could save the photos on my computer (where I write reviews). It was a slow process. This device speeds up the process, as now I can just save the photos to the card reader and then plug the SD card into my laptop's SD card port. The instructions for this device were pretty clear. They provided step-by-step color photos of each iPhone screen on the enclosed instruction sheet.I was able to figure out how to send a photo (stored on my phone) to a SD card (which plugged into this device). And I was able to move a photo stored on the SD card up to my phone. There is a pre-installed feature on iPhones called FILES (a blue folder icon) that will help you move your photos back and forth. I was also able to move a screenshot from my iPhone's photo section and choose to save it in the "Untitled" folder (which is the SD card). The photos that are from phone screenshots will be in PNG format, and your laptop will be able to easily view those. The photos that you take using your iPhone are in the HEIC format, and you will need a codec (download from the Windows store if you have a Windows computer) or another app to open those and convert them to JPEG or PNG format for easy viewing and sharing.

Lacking instructions, not sure how to use
Would like to review this SD card camera reader and actually use it however there were no easy instructions on use. It's understandable that most companies probably assume everyone should know by now how to use a piece of equipment like this - however I don't. Since I haven't been able to figure it out I'm not able to honestly give a review. Should I have a flash of brainpower or an Aha moment and figure it out I'll come back and leave an updated review.

Transfer files between iPad and PC
This review is for the Ceotsak SD Card Camera Reader for iPhone iPad.Recently Adobe discontinued use of their Creative Cloud for general purpose file transfer. I had been using Creative Cloud to transfer files back and forth between my iPad and my PC. Even though it is still possible to transfer images with Lightroom and PDF files with Acrobat, I needed a new method of transferring files. The Ceotsak card reader is the best solution I have found so far. Use of the Ceotsak is quite intuitive. Plug the Ceotsak with an SD card into the Lightning port of the iPad and the SD card appears as a location in the iPad Files app. No need to do anything else. The Ceotsak may save my sanity.Bonus points that the SD card fits in the Ceotsak right side up. This may seem a strange feature, but I have another card reader that requires the SD card to be inserted upside down. Really.I'm pleased. I can't see any negatives to the Ceotsak SD card reader. Five stars.

Great for photographers and people who do not trust cloud storage.
The picture in the product description matches the it 1 to 1, so I don't see the need in using more data to attach a photo.I recently picked up this SD Card Camera Reader for my iPhone and iPad, and I have to say, it's a total game-changer for me, I can store all the photos I take on my phone on a larger storage device instead of relying on cloud storage, and I can transfer my DSLR camera footage on my phone to airdrop it to my friends on the spot. The speed is great, however I think this depends more on the SD card, I use a U3 SanDisk and it works well. Its compact, fast, and if you like photography or don't trust google and other cloud services in keeping your photos, then this is a great purchase.

Makes looking at my trail cams easy
This card reader is so convenient! I have trail cams set up in my backyard do I can track the deer, and I used to have to take the cards out of them, take them inside and boot up my laptop to see the pictures. Now I just plug this reader into my phone, go outside, put the cards in the reader and see the photos. No more traipsing into the house, taking my shoes off, etc. I can do it all right at the cameras. I don’t know why I didn’t get one of these years ago!
