SECOND UPDATE THREE MORE MONTHS. I now have bought three of them. They seem to last 3-5 months, then start leaking. Maybe I pump it too tightly. I will probably try another one that is less expensive next time.UPDATE FOUR MONTHS LATER. I have been using it for four months, and it has started to leak. I now have to pump it up every minute or so. I will probably buy another one because it seems better than the others, but given its price this is annoying. To be fair, I do pump it up very tightly.I have arthritis in my neck, and it make cracking sounds when I try to sleep, which makes it hard to sleep. my doctor showed me exercises to relax my neck but they can take 10-15 minutes a day, so I tried this. overall it is very well made. it totally holds the pressure, for as long as the max I've used it (30 minutes), that person who complained about it losing air obviously didn't figure out how to use it. there is the screw valve at the bottom, and the little ball that you slide in the tube, but I haven't found it necessary.the downsides are that the instructions are quite minimal, so figuring out the technical aspects of using it takes a few minutes, though it's obviously not complex. and unless your doctor told you how to use it, you're on your own as to how tight it is, and how long to use it. you can make it so tight it hurts (and probably damages) your teeth. I bought a sports mouth guard and sometimes use that, but have backed off on how tight it is.but it does seem to reduce the arthritis

Works pretty well for people with long necks. I'm just over 6' tall with a athletic build, so my neck isn't overly long, but enough so I bought this 4 tier one rather than the 3 tier one I've also seen for sale. That ended up being a good choice. The product is made well and the pillow covering is very soft, so there is no complaints to the workmanship. However, when I use this thing I feel like I'm being uncomfortably choked because of the pressure it puts on the neck, so I can only use this for a very, very short time. I also purchased a OTC Over Door Cervical Traction Kit (search on Amazon), and personally it works much better for me. Overall it's about what I expected, just didn't foresee the choke out problem.

Overall the idea and design is good. It is comfortable and easy to use. It is priced right. However, the two Velcro straps used to hold the device in place are far too weak. When in use, as the pressure increases so does the strain on these straps which causes them to lose their grip and then the front of device opens and traction is lost - defeating the whole purpose. The straps are sewn into the device so they can't be switched. I use another large strip of Velcro and over wrap the entire device once in place and partially inflated. It then works better but is an unnecessary hassle caused by a simple flaw in design. Also, because you must inflate and deflate each time used, the squeeze ball could be of greater diameter to provide a greater volume of air per pump. The ball provided looks like it is the type and size used on a standard BP cuff. This device requires a much greater volume of air than a BP cuff so requires a good deal of pumping to inflate. All said, I would still recommend this device. Extra Velcro is easy to find and once remedied it does provide traction.

Uncomfortable around your neck, not able to return product.I have had traction and this device does not compare. I was hoping this would relieve some of the symptoms as described in the description, but there was no relief. This device does not work as advertised. With no return policy, it makes it hurt more. Save your money, you will get better results pulling your head up from the base of the skull than you will from this device.BUYER BEWARE!!!

I have tried several different brands and models of these inflatable neck pumps, this one has the best fit and performance. The first unit started to leak within just a few weeks after purchase. The current unit is still holding up. I hope it continues to hold up as it gives great relief to my neck pain caused by cervical degeneration.

I am using the Chisoft 4-layers two times in the evening to traction the cervical discs - i do it very gently whereby I inflate it to the point of a "good" stretch (before any pain or discomfort) and deflate in stages to allow for rest in between. This method has proven to work really well, providing the neck relief every single time.

Very skeptical that this would help my neck injury, but it did ! Used it every day for at least 40 minutes 20 for each session. Used for about 3 months with physical therapy.

Love this, it really help take the compression off my neck. I feel so much better
