Just what I needed, but one design flaw!
I broke my collar bone on a cycling training ride. After a racing career with more than 250,000 miles and 40 years, I can't really complain about 1 broken bone (let's not discuss the combined total sq. feet of road rash over those years!).The short worked perfectly for about 3 weeks until I could manage a normal stretchy polo shirt. However, be aware that I could not wear it the first week after surgery because the thicker and somewhat rough area under the Velcro irritated the sutures. I'm not sure there is a fix for this, but for that week I wore a coupe of Amazon Basics polo shits 2 sizes large and draped them over my arm and sling. What I consider a design flaw is to open either shoulders one has to reach across, grab the Velcro flap and open it TO THE BACK. That means you have to have the flexibility to reach not only to your other shoulder, but 6" or more further back. That was very hard for me to accomplish. If they had simply made the flaps so that what is now the top portion of the two pieces the bottom piece, one would only have to reach over, grab the flap, and PULL FORWARD- very easy to do.Otherwise, the material feels nice and was a perfect weight for me. The sewing looked very good and the overall shirt looked almost "normal" when wearing - much nicer than a XXXL polo short draped over me like a tent!I would add only that by week three I had figured out how to put on my regular size polo shirts and never looked back. In retrospect, I think I think I could have gotten by just fine without this $50 shirt. That said, I highly recommend this shirt if you don't want to drape a tent over you and are not ready to figure out how to put on a polo shirt - for women or men.I hope you recover from your shoulder injury quickly!

What a great product !!
What a great product !! Shoulder surgery is no vacation, and one of the things I was worrying about in advance was "how was I going to get a shirt on?" Then I found the Blossom Breeze shirt on Amazon, bought 3 of them, and so glad I did.I know probably 99.9% of shoulder surgery patients find a way without a Blossom Breeze shirt. My only comment is: "Why?" Why subject oneself to additional discomfort and difficulty when the perfect solution is so easily available. The sewing work to modify the shirt is excellent -- very nicely done.It still requires assistance to get it on -- I could probably manage alone, but with difficulty on the non-surgical shoulder. But no one going through this should be alone anyway. With assistance it is -- well -- a Breeze. Simply step into the shirt after "un-zipping" the velcro, have your assistant raise it around your neck -- does not require raising or moving the surgical shoulder / arm away from the body -- secure the velcro, and relax. Add a pair of sweatpants and enjoy the recovery.Nurses at the hospital were simply amazed -- could not say enough positive things about how great this shirt is for post surgery. They had not seen one before and were *very* impressed. It was a lot better than the hospital gown!Best product ever. Glad I found it. Cannot recommend highly enough.Oh -- and the personal, hand-written note is a very nice touch. Thanks !!

Bought this for contracted elderly
This shirt seems to be a lifesaver for my very ill dad, who has both arms contracted against his body. it hurts him bad when you try to put his arms through a shirt, which my fam insists on doing, all be darned how much it hurts him.so this shirt, with it's velcro closure sleeves, just slides in without having to put his arms through the shirt. VERY good. wish the velcro was softer, but its ok. it's good

which is a good thing. The material is so soft he is ...
Bought two shirts for my husband. I purchased the same size shirt as he normally wears this fits a little more loose in the waist then his regular shirts, which is a good thing. The material is so soft he is taking a nap in the shirt, as I right this review. My husband never sleeps with a shirt ever! We went to the PT this morning and three therapist came over to look at the shirt they liked it so much that the wrote down the makers information. Made changing the bandage a breeze. I told the therapist what I really liked is both shoulders come undone, so this morning when dressing him I undid both sides and had him step into the shirt and pulled the shirt up and underneath his sling without moving is arm. The shirt is so sporty looking with the black strip on the shoulder and sleeve that they thought only one side had the velcro.I also shared that the mom and pop company was even sweet enough to send a hand written get well note with the shirts.

A great option for post-surgical care and putting on clothing.
I am a man with both shoulder joints replaced. For the first replacement four years ago I did not know about these T-shirts. Dressing was challenging and only increased pain. While planning for the second replacement two years ago I discovered these amazing shirts, bought two. The challenge of dressing was gone, pain free. Now with surgery to modify the second prosthesis, I bought two more shirts. Velcro modifications are a distinct improvement. All medical care providers have been impressed with these shirts and requested source information. Exposing the shoulder for care is simple; don't have to undress. Would buy them again. Only one negative (reason for four and not five stars): Sizes start with "large" and they are very large, not a usual large. I wear a medium. Sewing ten-inch side tucks removed girth problem without losing utility.

Glad I bought it.
Bought this before my spouse had shoulder surgery. Wasn’t sure he would need it, but it made the first two weeks after surgery so much easier! I had also bought him one with zippers, but he found this one to be much more comfortable. He normally wears a large or xl shirt. I went with XL to allow for comfort and a little shrinkage.Pros: Comfortable, held up after several washings. The neckline was comfortable, even with the velcro.Cons: Velcro feels a bit stiff after many washes, but spouse said it still was comfortable.Would recommend. Made the first few weeks after surgery so much easier for him, me, and the physical therapist.
