Supposed to be held together by glue maybe?
The silver alloy screw cap fell off when I took it out of the package. It looks like it is just meant to be held on by glue after being pressed in. I tried to use it anyway but it has a lot of play in it and the wheel is not smooth and off-centered making it unbalanced. It seems the entire tool is made out of some kind of plastic/metal type casting, not sure how long it would last. It is probably all fixable but I would rather spend the time sharpening my chisels instead of fixing a new tool. At 15.00 I wasn't expecting perfection but I wouldn't spend any money on this after holding it in my hands.

Effortless Razor Sharp Edges
If you have woodworking tools that need a razor sharp edge then this contraption is a no brainer. It costs a few bucks and will save you hours on the paper and the stone. What’s your time worth? I flattened the backs of three new chisels then spent a total of less than five minutes each running the bevels over a medium and then fine Arkansas stone to produce an edge that will literally split a hair. If you’re considering this (and obviously you are) get it, you’ll pat yourself on the back the first time you use it.

maintains correct angle for a razor sharp tool
Works great! Managed to get a razor sharp edge on an old wood chisel I'd been abusing for years. If it put a fine edge on THAT old chisel, it will surely sharpen ANY chisel. Good metal and easy to use.

Scuff the paint first.
It is inexpensive and works well after performing a few adjustments. The glossy paint can allow slippage of the blades being sharpened and the instructions cast onto the block sides are illegible due to that thick paint. Scrap the paint and you will have an adequate tool. A printed instruction sheet should be included. It is allegedly US made.
