Rani in the Mermaid Lagoon (Disney Fairies)

these books are prefect for young readers.Little girls especially seem to love to read about fairies.They are chapter books but they still have a few pictures to keep them interested.

Awesome little book she loved it!

I would say this is a pretty good book from what I read I have always really like Disney books but I’m 16 this is for younger kids. It is a picture book and I have included a photo of the first page for you to determine if you think your child would be able to read it or not?

It's office cleaning time and I found my daughters old Fairies books. Why I had them? I can't remember.Rani made the great sacrifice of cutting off her wings to save Pixie hollow. Life moved on and even though she was basically a hero; she finds herself left out. After all; can you be a faerie without wings? This is made especially clear when it's a party and she looses a job she used to do. The water talent fairies would do something special with the fountain. Rani used to handle the water jet which was at the top; she could only fly with Brother Dove but it was thought he would mess up the fountain. There is the dance which she loves but she causes a major accident and the party is over. Vidia appears and with her usual spite says a few mean things and Rani gets very upset and runs off into the woods.She feels sorry for herself and decides to run off as she really doesn't have a purpose anymore. She finds a water faerie canoe and decides to go away. After a battle with a water snake, rapids she falls into the stream. Rescued by Mermaids they take a liking to her and take her to where they live. She thinks she has a place but mermaids being as fickle as they are she finds she really doesn't belong there. She swims off and finds most of the sea creatures aren't too friendly......until she finds a Sea Horse who is trapped....I have to admit to liking this story. Simple and a little self discovery. It's an easy read so an advanced reader should finish this in one sitting.Off to the little library it goes so another child may enjoy it.

First book that I willingly read and adored every minute of it! Rani is forever my favorite character!

poor rani feels bad and left out cuz she is the only fairy without wings cuz she sacrificed them earlier in the series so she goes to the mermaid lagoon but soon learns she is not meant to be with mermaids. this book teaches you the importance of just being yourself

I love to see my daughter want to read instead of watch TV or play video games. NO other book has peaked her interest like this one. She now loves Tinker Bell and all her nice friends. She loved this book so much that she asked for other books in the series. I plan on purchasing the whole series for her for Christmas.
