The best French press I've ever had
I am usually very skeptical when a product has an overwhelming amount of 5 star reviews but now I understand why. For the longest time, I had been looking for a 45+ oz. glass cold brew French press in order to make 3 days worth of double servings of coffee and now I've found the perfect one. It's made of thicker glass than all others that I've tried (Bodum, Cofina, etc...) and the first to ever have a glass handle. I worried about the strength of the glass handle but even with it completely filled I've never felt that it was going to break. I'm a big fan of the rubber base as it prevents the French press from sliding, protects the glass from cracking, and also prevents any sort of scratching on my countertops. As for the triple filter press, even with fine ground expresso blends the coffee only comes out with a tiny bit of soot at the bottom.I've not washed it in the dishwasher but handwashing is a breeze. Due to the larger diameter of the press, it has been easier to rinse out the grounds stuck in the filter lip than presses of a smaller size. I absolutely recommend this product!

I like it, makes strong cold brew and regular coffee
The media could not be loaded. I usually drink regular coffee in the mornings but sometimes go thru cold brew phases where that's all I want to drink.I had a smaller bodum french press for my mornings and a toddy for my cold brew cravings. Both are being replaced with this new larger french press.I like the french press design because I can make the coffee as strong as I like. The downside to my old one (besides the fact that it broke) was that it was too small to make a decent amount of cold brew since you need more coffee per cup of water. The toddy wasn't anything special, it wouldn't make great cold brew and left a mess to clean up after each use. It's going into storage. This french press is the best of both worlds. It makes great regular coffee and is large enough to make cold brew. Everything is in one compartment so it's an easy clean up.As an added bonus, my wife is happy since she has extra room for a different kitchen accessory 😅

Excellent large capacity French Press
This French press is awesome. I had never used a French press before nor have I ever attempted making cold brewed coffee. I made my first pot yesterday and the taste was amazing. Per the instructions you prepare a strong coffee concentrate. A little goes a long way. Just add ice, water and cream to the concentrate and you will have the best iced coffee right at home. I have not tried the hot brew method yet. The cold brewing takes time but is worth it. I like the light weight yet sturdy glass construction and the extra large capacity. It is attractive and accented the kitchen decor. The cover fits snugly and the filter works great with coarsely ground coffee. Not a single grind was found in the concentrate. The spout is well designed and very easy to pour without spillage. I would highly recommend this French press to anyone wanting to try the superior taste of cold brew. The company provides a great ebook led in pdf format which provides a wealth of information about coffee with step by step instructions about how to use a French press.

Seems fragile.
I really like this French press, but I had to subtract 1 star because the glass is so thin it seems very fragile. Mine has not cracked yet, but I'm real gentle with it. The size is great! The mesh filter and plunger system works great! No grounds in the finished coffee at all. I hate using plastic, so I am glad it is glass. The only improvement that I would like to see is it be made of thicker tempered glass. I'm a little fearful to wash it in hot water or to try brewing hot coffee in it. I use it strictly for cold brew coffee.

Very nice hot/cold French press... made of glass.
It's a nice French press. Definitely one of the few I found that wasn't small or not made of plastic. The filter on the plunger does a very good job. That said I felt the lid was the only disappointment. It doesn't lock to the pitcher nor does it seal up airtight. I also thought with the quality of the filter in the pitcher they should have used that same metal mesh in the filter that's connected to the top. Instead it's a plastic filter here. Honestly in several pots of hot and cold coffee I have not had any grounds make it into the cup but the plastic screen in the lid still bugs me.

It was easy to disassemble
I'm a total Starbucks fiend, but recently decided to start brewing my coffee at home to save money. I wanted a French Press that could make both hot and cold coffee, which is what initially attracted me to this product. As soon as I removed this coffee maker from the packaging, I was really impressed with its sturdiness and overall quality. It was easy to disassemble, clean, and reassemble, which often is not the case for these types of products.Honestly though, the best part of using this coffee maker was the smooth, rich cup of coffee that it made. I then used it to make a huge batch of cold brew, which also tasted great. (Also, there were barely ANY coffee grounds that escaped through the wire mesh and into my coffee cup, which was a pleasant surprise!)Overall, I'd highly recommend this coffee maker to anyone who wants a quality cup of coffee.

Great Carafe!
My friends and I both like large hand-made coffee mugs rather than the teeny-tiny 6-oz ever-disappointing 'cups.' A standard French press only holds 1 liter, enough for 3 mugs worth. But this borosilicate beauty holds 1.5L -- far more useful for making a reasonable amount of coffee that is actually worth drinking. Thank you, thank you, thank you! If it were merely 1 1/5 times as tall rather than half again in diameter, I would like it even more. To mix things up, I often make pour-over coffee, and the diameter of the carafe is too wide for my Melitta paper cone holder; but I came up with a work-around fix that gets the job done. All in all, I couldn't be happier with this gem.
