Great size. Big enough for heavy downpour. Very sturdy in windy situations. Handle is long enough and shaped for comfortable holding. However it's very heavy for a compact size umbrella. The extra weight goes to the extra hardware, thick UV-proof fabric that's coated black on the underside, and extra large canopy. The length is too long for my glove box, so I stick it in my cup holder on the door side. The extra length is due to the long, molded handle necessary to achieve a comfortable grip for such a big, heavy umbrella. I like the automatic open-close feature, but the button is very stiff and hard to push. Pushing the closed umbrella back to its compact length will also require significant strength. I recommend pushing it against a hard surface or your belly if you have washboard abs. It's not made for weak grannies. For these reasons I deduct one star. The size and weight is a reasonable compromise for the extra large canopy, UV-proof fabric, extra ribs and long molded handle.Update: the button on the top tip of the umbrella (where all the ribs meet at the top center) fell off after about 6-7 uses. I can glue it back, but not sure how long it will last. Overall disappointed at worksmanship. However it still works as an umbrella.

Well when I use this umbrella for the first time it was raining and windy and this umbrella definitely stood up it didn't fold, it didn't bend, it didn't break, absolutely love it.
