Peneric@ Kankun Smart Wifi Plug Socket, Remote Control Plug Socket, Intelligent Smart Device, Socket Plug, for Andoid Iphone App (Plug)

I bought this plug to use as a digital switch for an old hifi amp that is attached to a blue tooth reciecer. I was able to find the iphone app and set it up without much issue. I could only set it up to work with one phone, however. This is due to a required password on the second phone with no area to find/set the password in the app, and no mention of it in the directions.Other than this it worked good for about half a year before connectivity issues started. Now any time I go to turn it on from the app I get a could not connect network error. If you google this issue, it is mentioned the the app connects to overloaded servers in china to tell the plug to turn on. Makes me not feel secure. I should mention that it is two feet from a router as well, so this is not the issue.For this reason I do not recommend this product.

I ordered this device to "hack" it. As such, I am really happy with it. As a hackers device, I give it five stars. As a device to do what it is supposed to do, I am not sure I would recommend it. Launching the app, connecting to the unit, and turning on/off what you have plugged in is a 30 second process. Not sure if this is labor-saving. If you are using it to setup schedules, then it may be of greater value. End result: if you are looking for something simple, go with a Wemo. If you are a hacker, this is a really fun device.

lotta problems connecting and takes a long time to keep refreshing so i can turn it off or on. Prefer the Wiwo is much better and fast response.
