When this item came in, the box and grinder over all looked good and I was looking forward to trying it out. However when I attached the handle, I noticed the inside of the nut that holds the handle on was rusty. After using a cotton swab to try to clean it out, I hand tightened the nut into place. That little bit of pressure stripped out the threads to the point where the nut doesn't hold anything in place at all. It's something I can fix by getting a regular nut from a hardware store, but one shouldn't have to do that for a brand new item. The rest of the grinder works well enough for me. I hooked up my cordless drill to it to test how well it worked.

Works good. Large capacity. The little sliding door, however, is poorly designed and will not stay closed on its own. You can work around this flaw by holding it closed with a finger, but shouldn’t have to. If it was designed to slide closed in the opposite direction, the movement of the beans while you’re grinding wouldn’t force it open. Whoever designed this, didn’t test it before selling it.

still learning how to use a manual bean grinder but the first cup came out pretty good. only thing i don't love about it is the window to put the beans through slides open when grinding. if that would stay shut then it would be 5 stars. cleaning it before use was very easy and it does look really nice in the kitchen.

If you like to grind by hand to make whole coffee beans come through this is the grinder for you. It loosens the tightness of the burr grinder as you turn the handle, it might half crush a couple beans before they just start falling through. The most impractical grinder ever made. $30 for a paper weight is a bit pricey.

Got this for my husband never used one was debating on an electric but they tend to be very noisy, he loved it.
