Raleigh - Avenir - ACB051 - Heavy Duty Nylon Bicycle Cover in Grey

I bought this cover to stop my saddle and the rest of my bike getting wet overnight, as I only have room to store it in my leaky shed at the back of my garden. Needless to say, it's certainly done it's job. It makes it satisfying to collect my bike in the morning and see a nice puddle of water gathered on the cover, knowing underneath it is a nice dry vehicle!It doesn't cover the whole bike; it fits it similar to the picture. However it fits over my saddle, gears and chain with no problem whatsoever.It comes with a travel pack which has been brilliant; I can easily pop it into my bag before travelling off again.Overall, a fantastic product which has certainly done it's job well, with the added extra of easy travel.

Good quality item, particularly the Velcro ties at each end which fix nicely to the wheels. It's too small for my bike though.

This covers my adult mountain bike nicely and keeps it dry. After two years it is working very well with no holes in it or sun damage. You'll get some condensation on the seat but usually it is perfectly dry. A good product. I am happy with it.

I have been using this cover for 2 weeks and the last few nights rain has proved that I have made a mistake in purchasing this. I previously had a cover from Argos and it lasted a year, however it did the job and protected my bike from the elements. As for this cover, it has left my bike wet and the material is so flimsy, that I do not understand how they can name it 'heavy duty'. The material feels and weighs the same as those you see from cheap umbrellas. If you do not cover your bicycle with care (using the Velcro provided) this will easily blow off you bike with the lightest of winds. As for the rain, it protects the bike from the bulk of it, but still leaves it wet as its not fully waterproof. The material is so thin and light, extra time is needed to cover and take off as it clings to everything. I am now going to find the last cover I had which was probably cheaper in price.

Weather protection is sufficient but it's too small to fit a large sized bike. I have a 57" Dutch style city bike and I can barely stretch the cove from the front wheel to the back wheel. When fitted, the cover only reaches down to the top half of each wheel, leaving both hubs exposed.

After several months living in the lounge (it's a big lounge and we don't have a shed or garage!), my girlfriend pulled rank made me put the bike out. Her bike lives under a cheap cover from argos, and the durability was reflected in the price.This cover is a million times better. The handle bars on my mountain bike are quite wide, but this cover fits with ease. It's a good length and covers the gears, pedals and most of the 26" wheels.It's been on the bike from october to date, and looks as good as new.

The shape and size of the cover are fine -it has a wider section to nicely fit over handlebars and the length is good for covering the whole bike. But I am unconvinced by the nylon-type material. I bought this for my girlfriend's bike, as I have a green pvc-style cover for my own already, which I was given by a friend. Put it like this: if I knew where my friend had got the green pvc cover, then I wouldn't bother with this Raleigh one. But against this, this product was the best price and features I could find, so it'll do a job.

Brought for my retro 80's Raleigh shopper, and its a bit on the large size as its such a small bike, But it does the job perfectly as I store it on my outside stairs/landing which is open to the elements. Velcro strips keep the cover in place, and its still intact after gail force winds/snow/ice/rain. There are cheaper covers available but id recommend this if like me you have to make do with storing on balconies/stairwells anywhere outside. Also it does make your bike slightly more invisible/more of a faff to would be thieves.
