bought this to replace an old bag I used as a "when I need it bag." Now this one is my "daily, carry everything bag."Pros: Good size. Fits a manilla folder or a small laptop easily. Three main sections plus the snap-close flap make organization easy. It is very sturdy and holds a lot of weight without any problem. Because it is all soft fabric, it is decently expandable to fit LOTS of stuff.Cons: The shoulder strap is a bit narrow, but is decently comfortable to carry all day if the bag isn't totally full. But the strap is easily replaceable if you find one you want to use more. I kept the one that's on it just because I liked the look and I don't usually carry too much stuff. Also, the bag had a tendency to hang in a kind of floppy way because it is all soft fabric and the only thing holding it closed is the main flap.However, I was able to fix those last problems with a couple of clever sewing solutions.First, I sewed vertically between the outside front (next to the snap-pocket - in fact, right through the existing seam) to the next divider. This holds that first section closed a little more, and makes a perfect narrow hole to put a water bottle. Easy to slide in and out without unclipping the cover-flap, and prevents the bottle from turning sideways and spilling. Then I sewed two 14" sport-style zippers onto the remaining compartments, which lets me keep them closed or open them completely (sport style are the kind that will separate completely, rather than remaining closed at the bottom end). I can still fit my 11.6" laptop with room to spare, and a 12" paper folder with ease as well.Bottom line: this is a great bag on its own, but with a little work it can be perfect!

I am going on a cruise soon, and will be flying overnight to Europe. I needed a bag that would fit under the seat in front of me, and that is big enough for my notebook computer, and a few other things I will need handy access to during the flight. This bag is very well-made. All the stress points are reinforced. There is a pocket on the front of the bag that has a flap that snaps closed. There are 3 compartments inside the main bag, so I can keep the computer separate from the folder with boarding passes, etc. and another compartment that I can put a purse liner in, that holds several small items. The big pocket at the front will hold the quart-size baggie that holds 5 three-oz. bottles of liquid I am allowed to fly with. There are numerous slots for pens, styluses, etc. on the outside of the pocket. There is one big flap that wraps over the entire bag, that has a metal clasp that hooks to the bag under the pocket, affording another layer of security. I can wrap the strap around the telescoping handle of my rolling bag, and it fits just right on top.

The style is very nice with a lot of versatility inside. There are places for pens, glasses, what have you. It seems to be well made, but I've only taken it on one trip so far. I do wish the strap was a little beefier. It's just that it's slightly thin and isn't very comfortable for a long haul. The strap is also slightly short. I'm 5'9'' and was wishing it would hang about an inch or two lower than it did.I took the bag on a camping trip in the hopes of retiring my old backpack. A backpack is great, but everything (iPod, keys, headphones, snacks, pocket knife, etc.) just sits at the bottom. That's why I was excited about this new bag because it has compartments. It should be noted that the dividers inside are not completely independent. In other words, one of the dividers inside is not stitched to the bottom of the bag, so little stuff just ends up in a pile at the bottom anyway.Because of the compartments, this would be a great laptop bag and I think that's what it will become for me. I think it will pull double duty as a lunch bag for work as well.

this is a nice big bag. the olive color is great and the bag is well-made. i could do without the bullet storage feature. i want nothing to do with shooting and guns, but the bullet loops are perfect for pens.

I struggled with whether to give this 3 or 4 stars. This paratrooper bag listed as "classic" reminds me of the old ones, which I used to own, which were thicker, heavier canvas and stood completely upright on their own when you set them down. They also had a thicker strap, which was more comfortable on your shoulder, not digging into it like this one. This bag is floppy when empty. I bought it to use when out in the field to carry my phone, camera and sketch materials, and for when riding my bike. When on my bike, this lightweight straps digs into my shoulder a lot more than the old "classic" ones did.If you are looking for a truly old style, "classic" paratrooper bag, this is not it. It is okay and fine for general use, but it is not heavy duty canvas like the old ones and will not stand upright when you set it down unless it full of gear.

I looked for months for a bag to carry my fountain pens, poetry book, and journal in as well as the daily stuff we girls cram in a bag. I do not like purses since I was born a tomboy but I love this bag!!!! It is not too big not too small and hangs right when used crossbody. I plan to get one for my sister and since my nephew is at the stage he plays soldier I want to get him one too. What a deal!!! For the price you will not find anything better. Can not say enough it is awesome!!! i even put my fur-kids great big toy in there yesterday when we went to write at the duck park... Got to order the black one next. Seller packaged it well also.

Sirve perfecto para cargar cosas no muy pesadas, el material es suave pero propenso a romperse si no se le tiene cuidado ya que el bolso consiste de pura tela. Fácil de lavar y con espacio para cargar libros, objetos pequeños, laptops, tablets, etc.

I am using this bag as a utility bag when I need to carry a few light items into the woods. It serves my purpose well. But in no way or form it is good for anything but a WW2 style messenger bag.

The bag I received was not as wide as this one, and has a different pad on the strap, but I really don't mind. I can see from the label that it is the same brand as stated on Amazon. I really like this bag, it folds up nice and small - I was initially worried when it arrived in a small package! It is lightweight but strong! It looks good aswell, and obviously easy to put in the washing machine as it is 100% cotton.

Me encanto la bolsa, la tela pierde color con el tiempo y la exposicion al sol, fuera de ello fue una excelente compra, volveria a comprarla.
