Didn’t do as well as other brands
These were easy to use but didn’t work very well. They dried out faster and the soil pieces were coarse and stuck to some of the seedlings, killing them. These germinated seeds slower and only about 40% sprouted at all. The outside of these (the white pouch) was very tough and had to be cut away when they were ready for soil because roots wouldn’t break through on their own. All of this is compared to the Jiffy brand which stayed moist and sprouted faster and about 95%. I used the same seeds and it was all in the same green house. I’ll be sticking to my other brand, Jiffy, in the future. I am growing herbs, vegetables, salad greens and some fruit. Maybe these work better for flowers or something?

Kills plants eventually, plastic?
Pros: They work, if you cut the shell off.Cons: A pain to use, not actually environmentally friendly, kills plants if you do it wrong.I used these for all my starts last year. I was trying to move away from peat, because it's a non-renewable resource. So of course it turns out these are wrapped in plastic. :-(The outer fabric shell, which is usually paper that can be buried once the plant is started, is a tough plasticky material, probably a polyester. It looks and feels like paper, but all my plants were fine up to a point, then sad 2 months later, then dead. When I turned up the soil, the little white shells were completely intact, preventing any roots from growing. They decayed into the soil exactly none. You have to cut off the shell, and when you do the medium crumbles, so you're basically holding a bare plant. They expanded okay and had an acceptable germination rate, hence the 2 stars, but they're (1) a hassle, (2) don't work the way others do, and (3) plastic. (Or something similarly not biodegradable, at least not quickly.)

Your Seedlings Will Thank You
This is one of my first reviews in a long time, but these things are absolutely worth the review. The product worked extremely well for my purposes and my seedlings never grew as quickly in other mediums (I cut down about 3 days of waiting for taproots thanks to these starters), nor has any other medium been as convenient to use. I also had success with cloning in these starters and once roots were showing all it took was a dusting of Azos, some mycorrhizae, and planting each respective plant into a larger pot.

Product different upon arrival?
Every year I buy from Amazon as they have this really good deal I large quantity of these “Jeffy“ pots. They are very tiny, you put them in water, and a double in size. This year I saw something different and even though they were more expensive they were supposed to at least triple in size It made it sound like the pots would be much better.I’ve only soaked for 24 hrs. and while they have doubled in size It’s different than in the advertising video

There are ONLY seed starter Pods included, Nothing Else!
This listing is both vague and confusing cocerning what exactly the vendor is selling. Pictured are pots. The answered questions state that greenhouse and lids were included. Both untrue and misleading! This listing is ONLY for the seed starters! I discovered this after I recieved my order! Scammers!!!

Not worth the money
The problem with the pods the soil doesn’t hold the water.I always start all my plants by seed and I thought I would try these. When you water them after it has expanded and I have planted a seed in the pod. The water goes through it and sits on bottom not allowing the seed moisture . It is totally dry 1/2 way up pod and soaking wet at bottom. The size is smaller than expected. I was very disappointed all around. I will stick with the old way. I already spent to much time on this product that did not produce anything.

Simple easy way to start seedlings
These fiber soil pellets are working beautifully and exactly as described. My seedlings love them so far. Easy to use - put them in a tray with water, they expand quickly, poke hole in top and drop in seeds. Easier than filling growing tray sections with loose soil.

Easy to use, I had great results
These were easy to use and my seedlings sprouted really quickly! I soaked them up pretty good and I water them from the bottom every couple of days. If you’re having bad luck, check your seeds. Some seeds need to be soaked or they’re not getting the light or warmth they need. I put all of mine in a flat rectangular gladware tub and placed it under a small light and kept the bottom warm with a heating pad.
