Great find for our power chewer!
We have a doberman that goes through bully sticks in 20 minutes, himalayan chews in 3 hours and antlers within a week. I have had this horn for 3-4 weeks now and it's generously only 1/4 gone. The size is very large (it's weighty, so be careful for your hardwood floors!) and of a thickness that it does not shatter like a hoof - rather little flakes come off. I appreciate that this company has removed the pointy end. The only thing that kept it from a 5-star rating is due to me, not my dog's opinion, and is because it can be pretty smelly if they're working at it for a while. However, there has been NO problem with the scent soaking/lingering into the carpeted or bedded chewing surface. It's become my dog's go-to chew nearly every night, and I'd absolutely buy again.

Busy Dog = Quiet House
Sure these dog chews are a little pricey, but they last way longer than any other chew, won't stain carpets, and don't stink like pigs' ears. This particular brand seems to be the best I've ordered so far. The product is basically a hollowed out horn, and I'm not sure each horn is from the same type of animal because some have been round, others have been shaped flat. But the ones that last the longest are those that are thicker and less hollowed out. This brand has been thicker than other brands I ordered in the past. After a few weeks, the horns do tend to flake, but they aren't so brittle as to cut the dogs mouth, and they don't get soggy like a raw hide. I take them away from my dogs and throw the horn out once they have chewed them to where that the whole treat fits in their mouth. Depending on how long you allow your dog to chew them in each session, these horns can entertain your dog for several three weeks as long as you get the size that is right for your dog. I have two Dobermans - one 18 months old and one 10 years old - and they both love them. I order the large size for them.

Good Options for Heavy Chewers - Dog Loves It
The Dog: German Shepherd, Puppy, Large, 6-10 Months, About 50-70 lbs, Heavy ChewerPros: Nico loves this chew. It took him a few weeks to be interested in it and get it started but he often picks it up out of his crate and brings it to his towel to chew on. It has a slight smell but only if you're close to it or the dog's mouth, I'd say within a few feet. It has not caused any staining to my light tan-ish carpet to date. I generally put a towel down for the dog anyway, to prevent smells, messes, etc. but it hasn't stained either. It has lasted months, whereas bully sticks, raw bones, etc last only a few hours max.Cons: This thing flakes apart leaving large, heavy duty fish scale type pieces all of the place. My dogs has even coughed some up as I imagine they can be quite irritating to the throat. This thing doesn't chew down like a antler, bully stick, raw bone, etc. It flakes off. This is probably fantastic for teeth cleaning but I worry about a piece scratching his throat or puncturing something lower down. We've gone a few months without issue but I'm not sure I'd buy another due to the way it breaks down.

Huge size variance!
I have ordered these before, and am very satisfied with the quality, and durability as I have a couple of heavy chewers. This is the first time I have ordered the jumbo chews. There is a HUGE size difference in them, even though both were the same price. I am wondering if the horns were based on weight instead of dimension when they were sized- but the dimensions are ultimately what are most important for a dog to be able the hold them for chewing. This my reasoning for the larger sized chews. So, I am very satisfied with one, the other, well not so much.

Dog Liked It But I didn't....
These were recommended to me by the Rescue Group we adopted our Mastiff/Boxer mix because she like them. I only gave this product 3 stars as for my dog, with large and very good jaws, really grinded it down. About half way through, it was showing slivers and therefore went immediately in the trash. I would not take any chances. I switched to a deer antler I purchased off Amazon, and that is holding up much better with no slivers, etc. With this product while my dog liked it, if your dog is a heavy chewer, I wouldn't recommend it.

A good chew but not as pictured.
The dogs are enjoying chewing on these. They are smaller than expected. They are not as pictures. They are cut on both ends, not going to a point. They seem to be holding up well. I ordered this one since I read that the super large ones have thinner walls and will splinter more easily. Time will tell as to their lasting ability.

Dangerous splinters
My daughter had these for her dog. I ordered this one. Sounded just like what I wanted. My daughters dog is same beeed as mine hers is over 6 months old. No chips or splintered parts. My dog loved it at first but then I heard a breaking crunching sound. After 5 minutes of opening it was splintering and breaking off this could have killed my dog. And be sulfured to read return policies cause this can’t be returned Shame on you for selling this substandard dangerous product
