Bring it back!
Why review a product that has been discontinued? Well, in hope they bring it back. In coffee I really felt this had the closest flavor to real sugar of any substitute. The container was convenient, no need to rip splenda packets every time just pour a bit from the container. It was very sweet, so you could use much less. I think what made Nectresse stand out was the molasses, no other brand included that. I've tried other monk fruit substitutes and they are ok, but not as sweet. Hopefully one out there can copy nectreese and add some molasses while still being sugar free/low glycemic. The one mistake they made I think, they advertised to just women. Unfortunately both men and women have to watch their sugar intake these days. Not sure how they couldn't make it profitable as there are still other monk fruit manufacturers out there, but I hope they bring it back! Till then its back to Splenda.

Discontinued
Let me say I was thankful to receive this since it is no longer available. It is a great sweetener and sweetens better than other sweeteners derived from plants and now here is the big BUT, I contacted the maker and asked why this sweetener has been discontinued and they sent me an email about how they don't give out their formulas, yada, yada, yada. What? I didn't ask you for any of that stuff I just wanted to know why it had been discontinued, but I can only guess now that there was something in it that is not good for human consumption (yeah, I know, so why am I still using it? Not very smart on my part, but I like it and I'm sure this is not the only thing I consume that is not good for me.) They were very nice though and sent me 4 boxes (40 individual packets ea.) for free (no shipping either). I had already made this purchase before they decided to send me the free stuff. In this order there was one container that the seal was broken on and some of it spilled out in the box (I'm sort of afraid to use it). I figured there was no point in trying to return it because there probably wouldn't have been any more to replace it with.

Natural, but not good.
I decided to take a chance on Nectresse. I really do not like it. It has a very odd taste, it is quite sweet though and Dr Oz recommended it on his show. I think if a person likes Monk fruit, they would like the sweetener. I've never had Monk fruit and this is just wierd to me. Also had several coworkers try it and nobody liked it. Maybe there are people that do?

Very sweet, but has an undesirable flavor
I bought this because of an Amazon coupon just to try it. As far as sweetness, it is definitely very sweet. I can use smaller amounts of this than stevia and it does the job. My biggest complaint is the flavor. A sweetener shouldn't overpower whatever you are using it in, but this stuff does. Even in coffee it has a noticeable flavor that just ruins everything. The only thing that I found the flavor didn't ruin was a fruit smoothie. It was still noticeable, but kind of complemented the other flavors. Of course, flavor varies from person to person and someone else might like it, but I will stick with stevia for now.

Finally...
...a natural sweetener that taste great with no aftertaste! I've tried plain stevia and found out that I'm allergic to it, and the ones that are a blend of stevia with other sweeteners, I still can't get past the aftertaste. I've been buying "Ideal" but it's still not "all natural".Nectresse is just what I've been looking for. I do need 1 1/2 packets to feel the sweetness in my coffee, but that's not a problem for me. I only wish it would come in 100-count, instead of 40.April 25 update:Unfortunately, I'm not able to enjoy this sweetener any longer. I noticed that it was irritating my gums. At first I didn't know what was causing my gums to swell, but the sweetener was the only new food I was consuming. Once I stopped using it, the swelling went away. Strange.

Sweeeeet!
I have tried a number of natural sweetening alternatives over the years. I typically go to stevia for most of my sweetening needs, but I found it does not work well in tea or coffee because it can have a slight sour aftertaste. So I decided to give Nectresse a try. I am pleased to report that Nectresse has a pleasant taste and goes great in coffee and tea. If you try the granules by themselves they have a slight molasses taste, which I like. And when mixed into other things, is not really noticeable.I also love the little pouring can since I don't have to open a ton of sugar packets. If you haven't tried it, I suggest you do give it a chance!

only ok...
Was hoping that the flavor of this splenda type sugar substitute would taste better but still has the after taste we can't handle. We do like splenda but it kind of does a number on my stomach. Plus reading about it found that it boosts my sugar levels, where that is the reason we use it in the first place (to lower) I do like the taste of splenda better and was curious if we could find another alternative.
