Returned the item wrong size

This slowed down my dogs barking. It was nice for travel to keep her chilled out a little more or when the pizza guy comes. She hates it so quiets down when she sees it and gets distracted trying to get it off so she's quiet. See, it works!

Yes, it is just a piece of elastic with a buckle (if that isn't worth it to you, making your own should be easy enough) but it worked perfectly for me. My dog goes to work with me and barks when I leave the room, even if someone else is with her. Used this every time I had to leave her and after only a couple of times she got the hint and would just lay down and wait for me. I've also used it on a deaf dog that panicked and barked if he couldn't see anyone (same result), used it on a few other dogs that are excessive barkers and it only failed me with one (because she's just stubborn) and even then she barked less. Most dogs will try to paw it off (which, as the instructions say, if they stop barking that's fine; the intent isn't to keep this on, it's to stop the barking). Some will just leave it, the ocassional few wil chew it. So if you know your dog is a chewer, don't buy it. If your dog isn't, then I'd recommend it. It works well enough for the price to be worth it, but like all things it depends on the dog. Just remember that it's a training aid, not a permanent solution.

I dreaded having company over because my chocolate lab would bark incessantly and pretty much ruin any event I was hosting. I put this on her last night at my husbands birthday party, and it was the first enjoyable evening I have hosted in such a long time. It's not tight enough to restrict her mouth completely. She was able to drink and pant and even eat a treat. It just kept her from barking. I was sooo skeptical but I have to say thoroughly impressed. She was pretty sad about having to wear it, but was not in distress and did not give her anxiety. After about an hour I took it off of her and she continued to behave the rest of the evening. Even though it is just a elastic band, and I probably could have purchased something similar at a craft store for 50 cents, this was worth every penny of the $15 I spent on it. I am curious to see how the next event goes, but I could not have been more pleased with the results so far.

I gave it one star because I had to. It was the lowest rating I could give. Complete wast of money. Oversized packaging to make you think your getting something worth the money. Do yourself a favor save your money, it's just a small flimsy piece of elastic with a cheap buckle clip. I bought a large breed band I would hat to see a small breed one. The photo is very, very misleading.

It doesn't really stop the dog from barking, but distracts her long enough while she tries to remove it! Probably my fault, though. If I stay with her while it's on, she does settle down.

my jack russell didnt like it at all.i bought to try and stop him barking in the car when we are out and about.he scratched continuously to get it off and when i took it off to take him for his walk he had made himself bleed under his chin and was very very upset.a waste of money imo .

Once you put on the snout is easy to take it off.....if you want to prevent your dog from biting this item is not secure at all..!!!

As many reviews say about this product that it doesnt work on their dogs it was the same with mine, on the plus side it only cost a couple of ponds
