I cannot beleive they're still selling the old transfer on a recent release when you have this box set of the special editions. Cracking picture on all three. Now The Good, The Bad & The ugly is complete. So much more linear. The old print left me with questions, they have been answered with this release. The team who remastered all three films deserve an award for best restoration in sound & picture. The extras are outstanding also. If the selling price for this set was £100 it'll be worth it.Just brought the set for my father as I have been going on about mine for some time. Even the purest would have to agree you should burn the old prints.The way Leon intended. Hope it brought a smile to his face where ever he might be.I'm going now to watch 'em again.

Excellent movies of course. Only a slight problem; first DVD in the series is clearly very old and so is the quality of the film. As you get to the 3rd and final DVD the quality improves dramatically.All in all, totally happy customer.

Ok so the argument has raged for years over if this a trilogy or not . But at the end of the do we really care ? I've read so reviews which talk about the picture quality not being improved and the sound not being improved . If they had done those things they would have ruined these films . Look what's happened to Star Wars as an example of how things really should have been left alone .What your getting is 3 of the greatest westerns in one box just how you remember watching them the very first time you watched them and loved them .

Ah this was a sweet pleasure. I bought this on a whim, as it was going dirt cheap on Amazon and I wanted a bit of nostalgia.So have they aged badly? Not a bit of it. All are excellent, though I thought the central premise of The Good, The Bad and the Ugly was on dodgy ground. I won't say any more though for fear of spoilers.Personally, I liked A Few Dollars More best, mainly because it had the best soundtrack, though they are all stonking.There were extras as well, but I never watch them.
