Asvine P50 Piston Fountain Pen Bock Medium Nib Brown Marble Resin, Silver Trim Smooth Writer Collection with Pen Case Gift Set

The material for this pen is beautiful. The piston is buttery smooth and holds a solid amount of ink. The nib is perfection just like every Asvine pen I own. I was impressed that they included the wrench required to service the pen as well when needed, most companies don't include them or they charge you extra if you want one. Asvine is really making a name for themselves with these awesome and well priced pens.

This is another beautiful Asvine fountain pen I purchased for my wife. She loves the beautiful Italian marble resin as well as the silky smooth writing of the refined nib. Also, the pen is easier to refill than one with a converter. With a piston pen your fingers do not contact the ink, eliminating the mess. The pen came with a wrench used to remove the piston for thorough cleaning, but a quick rinse with diluted Parsons ammonia cleaner will quickly remove any residual ink. Use caution with any ammonia cleaner, it will give your nose a wake up call. The pen came with a durable hinged plastic pen case and very complete instructions IN ENGLISH. Fit and finish were superb on all components. It posts well but is very comfortable unposted. It is a wet nib and keeps up easily with rapid writing. This is not our first Asvine pen and as they all have been excellent performers, it won’t be our last!

The pen looks great - just like the picture in the product listing. The nib (medium) is very smooth one of the best that I have ever used. I hope that Asvine continues to make this pen and introduces even more different resins. I like that it is a piston-fill pen so that it holds quite a bit of ink so that you can write more between refills.

I am very pleased with my Asvine P50 fountain pen. It is solidly constructed of quality materials, the nib is very smooth, the piston moves easily and precisely, and it even comes with a small wrench that can used to disassemble it when cleaning is needed. All for less than thirty dollars, too. If I had a gripe, it would be a wish for more colors, as the pastels aren't my thing, and the "Brown Marble Resin" is closer to yellow or amber. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this pen to anyone who wants a well-made fountain pen that writes like a dream!

I have been enjoying the flawless performance of this Asvine P50 in maize and blue with extra-fine nib. Appearance matches the photos, just as advertised. Ink flows immediately, with no skips or dry starts. I do not post my pens, but the cap can be posted and does not excessively back-weight the pen. The piston filler works smoothly and the pen holds a good amount of ink. The ink window is a nice touch, to check your ink level (and color, if you use multiple pens with various inks). Very comfortable to hold, smooth writing experience, even with the extra-fine nib. Attractive engraving on the nib, too. Bonus packaging includes a sturdy plastic storage case with a metal wrench, which allows you to completely disassemble the pen for thorough cleaning. Asvine includes the wrench at no additional charge. The instructions for use are well-illustrated. I am delighted with this purchase. This pen is a winner!

I have been writing with Asvine pens since the introduction of the V169. The P50 is the sixth member to my collection. These pens keep getting better. I purchased the Sky Blue variant. The light blue with white and a touch of grey gives the pen an appearance of a cloudy day, just prior to a rainstorm. The resin is silky smooth to the touch. It feels like precious resin. The fit and finish of the cap band, clip, and trim is equal to a pen that costs four times (4x) as much. The clip is a bit stiff, but still slides over a shirt pocket. The cap comes off in 1 3/4 rotations and posts, but not securely. I would not recommend posting it since it may damage the resin of the body. Now for the most important part, the writing experience. The pen is light, but feels substantial in the hand. The nib is a smooth wet writer with no hint of feedback. The Fine nib puts down a 0.6mm horizontal line and 0.5mm horizontal line. When stored horizontally, the nib lasts a week before drying out. Even then, it takes a couple of strokes to revive it. The pen comes in a box suitable to give as a gift. The inclusion of the Asvine all-purpose wrench is an added bonus. I am very happy to have this pen as part of my collection. This pen is similar quality and price to the TWSBI Eco, but it looks fancier. It writes well and starts immediately even after a few days of not writing with it. It does post, but it feels top heavy to me when posted -- but I generally don't like posting pens, so that could be a personal preference. Overall, I like the pen, and it's worth the price.

Wow! Super quick service... And superbe pen! Fantastic flow and great balance with or without the cap on... This pen is great beyond expectations, and even more considering the price. This is my second pen from Asvine Pen company. Will get more! Thank you!

I bought this in red marble (more pink to me) with a F nib. I fancied the bock nibs but didn’t want the extra expense plus the postage.I love it. I’m really happy with the smoothness of the nib. For the price it’s better than some of my expensive fountain pens. I’m using it with FWP ink (radiant rosewing). It suits the pen and flows well.I will be buying this pen in other colours and maybe even with the bock nibs.[added]I’ve since bought this in blue marble with an EF nib. I’m using the FWP blue beryl ink. This colour also suits the pen and flows well too.
