Ordered for my daughter’s birthday and it didn’t work. Was stuck on the same sound despite trying different batteries.

Works well good interactive toy.

This musical mat is very fun for all the children. It is a good size for a small child to sit and play or walk on. I like that there are many different settings for the piano, you can do animal noises or other instruments. I wish that the volume setting was on the speaker not on the mat because it was accidentally changed a few times but it's not that bad. Overall this mat is tons of fun and really keeps the kids' attention for quite a while.

I'm writing reviews of a few of these musical mats--while they're all similar in function, there are some slight differences that make me like some more than others.Similarities: among the mats designed with a "piano" side and a "drum" side, they all seem to have similar functions and sounds. You can pick between a few instrument sounds on the "piano" side, and a few percussion sounds on the "drum" side. They come with plastic drumsticks that can be used anywhere on the mat, or users can also just use their hands anywhere as well. They also have a recording function that lets you record a small performance, though this is erased when the mat is turned off. They can play a demo song, and have volume up and down controls. They also seem to have 2-note polyphony, meaning 2 sounds can be played at the same time (though sometimes this is a little temperamental, too). They all run on 3 AA batteries, too, which are not included.Unique features: This mat is a little different than many of the piano/drum musical mats in that it sacrifices some of the piano notes for some animal sounds. The piano section of the mat looks like a regular octave of piano keys, but the black keys don't function. Instead, the processing power for those notes has been used to store a set of animal sounds, which can be played by touching the animals featured around the middle section of the mat. Personally, I'd rather kids have all of the notes on the piano, but if your kid is especially responsive to animal sounds, this trade-off might work in your favor.The artwork used for this mat also reflects this choice: most have musical kinds of motifs in their visual designs, but this one features a barnyard scene where the animals are located instead. It makes the drum kit look like it's floating upside down in the air, though, which is a little awkward!

This is a good size mat. Wipe able, easy to clean. The sound and music are easily accessible by a toddler. The mat is pretty sensitive to touch. They enjoy the sound of animals and the different instruments sound. It kept the toddler busy. If your kids like sound and music, this is the perfect toy for them. Not recommended for parents who like quietness though. Can’t tell if the toy will be sturdy enough to last for a long time, especially if the child is rough with it.

Cute mat, my Grandson loves the drum sticks! Has a demo mode to play music and they can beat on the drums, so interactive. It is well made and durable. Would make an excellent gift.
