Best value for feeding our outdoor critters & NO waste (no empty shells all over the place)
Prior to finding this 50 pound bag of shelled peanuts we were buying the peanuts in the shells (i.e. 25 pound bags on amazon or smaller bags from the grocery store), but much of the weight is the shells, which is all waste. I finally found this bag that's ALL peanuts...no paying for what you're throwing away. Not to mention-there's no shells all over the backyard from the critters and these last longer-for us, about 5 weeks vs half that with the peanuts in the shells. To compare the price:A 25 lb bag of peanuts in the shells ($50)=$2 per pound...but you're also paying for the shells that get thrown away....so you're not getting 25 pounds of peanuts only.A 50 lb bag of Wakefield raw shelled peanuts ($79) are $1.58 per pound but your paying for peanuts only....no shells are in the 50 pounds. This lasts longer too. It's going on a month since this bag arrived and we've still got about two weeks left of peanuts.I put some out each day in the squirrel lunch boxes & trays and on the hanging tray for the blue jays and they love it!Although we have a regular bird seed feeder that I fill up with bird seed, some of the birds also like these peanuts.I've also noticed a few late night raccoons that enjoy the leftover nuts as well.Just a recommendation:Once the peanuts arrive, I move them into three different plastic containers to keep them fresher longer (two smaller & a third much bigger container not pictured...it's an IRIS Air Tight 25 pounds IRIS Airtight Pet Food Storage Container. Once the smaller containers are empty, I move the peanuts from the IRIS container into the smaller containers.

Wildlife wouldn't touch these peanuts
My blue jays wouldn't touch these peanuts. I contacted the seller, who suggested I roast them, giving me instructions on how to do that. A royal pain, roasting more than 30 pounds of peanuts, with 2 pans alternating in the oven all day. And the birds STILL turned their noses up. The seller said 'give them to the squirrels.' I didn't buy 50 pounds of peanuts for the squirrels, but even the squirrels wouldn't. The seller refused a return because he said 'they're used,' because I roasted them - at his suggestion.

Local bluejays think I am a god.
My wife and I get a lot of our daily entertainment watching the creatures who frequent our feeders and back yard. Blue Jays are the clowns of our backyard but I was tired of paying about two dollars a pound for the "people" peanuts in the shell that we were buying for them. Then I found this product. Pure peanuts without the shell for about $1.50 per pound. They love it and I am finding I am using many less pounds of peanuts as it seems our jays can only eat so much. Actually, thanks to the savings we have even expanded our peanut patrons to our squirrels, though I we do ration their meals. The peanuts are generally about half the size of commercial peanuts sold to consumers and some are a tad deformed. Neither of these faults seem to impact on the enjoyment of our feathered and furry friends nor the joy my wife and I get from watching them.Based on calculations I suspect providing a reasonable amount each day to the critters will make this one bag last us into April or May of next year.

Not store quality
These peanut splits are smaller and thinner than I expected, maybe about half the size of peanuts you’d buy in a grocery store or pet store, if not smaller. They certainly don’t look appetizing and sure enough, the birds and squirrels snubbed their nose at these. To be fair, my ‘outdoor pets’ are accustomed to Sach’s roasted in-shell peanuts (which are about $5.89 for a 5lb bag at Costco) but I’m trying to switch over to shelled peanuts to eliminate the mess. So I roasted a bunch of these in my oven for 15 mins at 350 and then most of the squirrels ate them. I will probably try buying roasted peanut splits somewhere when this bag is empty... those lucky critters!

Poor quality product
I would not order this again. Compared to product from my usual local supplier, this is far inferior. My local supplier’s peanuts look like they cold have come from a jar of Planter’s peanuts. By contrast this is small, red, swiveled up, dried out peanuts. Not only that, but it is 30% higher in price. The birds don’t seem to like it as well either.

Birds, squirrells, chipmunks, all love them!
We have several feeders attached to the large maple trees around our home. We've been feeding birds and an assortment of other animals for years now. We used to buy unsalted nuts still in the shell and was constantly cleaning up the shells left behind. We found these shelled peanuts on Amazon...What a difference this purchase made! No more shells to clean up and all the animals love the difference too. More actual nuts for the money too.

Good product for the price
Good product for the price. Just wish that they were completely skinned so we didn’t have to sweep up the brown skins. But overall appreciated the timely delivery and the price.
