Very cool set, quality is ok
My favorite part of this is probably the skull cave thing. I feel like that's a pretty unique piece. I wish it were bigger so that the bigger figures (the gold, green, and cream colored ones) could actually stand underneath the opening, though. Some of the figures are a step up from your typical army/knight figures, as they're a little bigger and the plastic is a little thicker, making them slightly more durable than the ones I usually see. The smaller figures (the black colored ones) are the opposite, though, being smaller than the ones I usually see. They're at most half the size of the bigger figures, and their scale is so much smaller that they don't really fit with the rest of the items in the set, so that's a little disappointing. But it is kind of cool how many of them there are.It comes with three different treasure chests. One of them doesn't seem to open, but I appreciate the variety of sizes for them. I appreciate that the base underneath the trees is big enough that they can actually stand despite how the trunks are curved. The front of the small cannon doesn't stay together well. The catapult is another favorite, because it's actually usable. The crossbow is pretty cool and can be aimed and fired, though it usually doesn't fly out that fast (this might be a good thing though, considering it reduces the chances of the arrow getting lost -- it only comes with two). The flags come still attached to the black rocks. One I managed to detach and it still has bits of plastic hanging off each part, and the other, the flagpole broke off from the flag and the rock instead of the flag staying together... The boat is great. I love that it comes with the oars, which actually can fit into the boat. The box has some very minimal instructions on putting the castle together. The castle pieces don't fit together very well, so they're very difficult to put together and yet also fall apart pretty easily. I like the way the finished castle looks, but it's frustrating to build, and the fact that it doesn't stay together well limits how it can be used in play.Overall, this set comes with a lot of great pieces. Some of those are really, really cool -- like the working catapult and the boat with oars. So there's a lot of good in the set, even with some quality issues on certain pieces.

Bargain D&D Fortress!
Amazing item for the price. This definitely took some time to get it assembled correctly, but once it is assembled the towers and walls are good and sturdy! It's also modular so you can assemble it as one long wall or the box shaped fortress. This is an incredible value for everything you get in the package and a solid scale that works well with official D&D miniatures. The figures included are either too big or too small for D&D but there are so many of the little knights them it will be great as a halfling army or something. I textured the walls with some ink but I will be doing painting next to add details.

So much fun but some quality issues. Nice design though.
This Medieval Wars Big Military Castle Playset is awesome that I wish I had something like it when I was a kid. The set includes everything on the listing and although comes without instructions, wasn't hard to figure out how to set up. Looking at the box I had to figure out the tower corner ends comes as plastic sheets that has to be bent into a cube and interlock. I did the four tower corners first and recommend crazy glue where they connect if you want a sturdier castle. There are 12 square pieces with 4 being for the tower bases and 8 for the upper levels that make the floors. Identify the base squares and push the towers down into them noting any holes that need lining up within the track. Then push in the upper squares (slightly thinner) on top that tower and then another tower on top of that with another floor on top of that piece, finishing with an open tower piece. The last piece at the top makes the guard wall of the tower crows nest. After that its just a matter of snapping in the four walls (one being the main gate) and pushing in the 3 wood color plastic edges to form an interior floor on the top of the wall for solders. Note that the towers and walls can be connected with a flush look or with walls being recessed back from the guard towers. Additionally, the configuration can be customized to an open castle or one really tall guard tower attached or detached and much more. Some parts need to be attached like the entrance doors and wheels on the push walls for invaders. The catapult and giant crossbow (I forget the name of it but starts with a b) come assembled and work pretty well on the miniature battle field. The army men like figures are different being of what seems two sizes and different themes. You can play with them all together but from what I can tell, are different play scenes. The smaller figures which there are a lot of can be used at a better scale with the castle. There is the obvious pirate themed figures with Skeleton solders and accessories and possibly a Greek or Roman style figure set. Some parts did come broken such as a flag post and mini soilder bases, with even more found during set up. It's wasn't a lot but something to be aware of.The set has a lot to offer and would even make great (cheapish) scenery for some rpg miniture games. Overall lots of fun and a great castle for.any small figured toys.

Broke first day
Cheapest plastic ever. Pieces of it broke just trying to put it together. Not worth the $$$
