follow up to some comments made about this mini saw
This mini saw works very well in the short time I have had it. I read the 3-star comments and two comments stood out most. 1) "the saw stops and needs to have the battery removed to restart" My comment: Yes, if you push it past its limit of 1100 watts is seems to be designed to shut off. I tested it and if pushed to extreme it likely over amps and shuts off. This appears to be a safety feature so not to burn up the motor. Keep in mind this is a mini saw with limitations on power. If you want a saw that does more get a bigger one. 2) Oiling system should be improved to allow bar oil to flow better. High viscosity oil does not flow easily on this saw. I have not tried motor oil yet but have been able to get the bar oil to flow with extra pressure on the lubrication bulb. For the price, it is a fun saw to use and performs well so far. I have only used the 6" bar so far and have been cutting up to 6" Lealand Cyprus trees easily and quickly. Benifits: it has two 4aH batteries and, it has both 6" and 8" bars with two chains each. It costs about $100. I comes with a file for sharpening chain.

Perfect size for trimming
I have a lot of pine trees and the weather has this nasty habit of breaking off branches - especially with a heavy snow. I've tried using a bow saw to trim up the branches, but if you've ever used one of those you know how hard they can be to use. I also have a full-sized chain saw but who wants to break that out just to trim some branches?Enter the Takouu Mini Chainsaw. I like that it comes with two batteries, two size chains, and enough cutting power to do what I need. It also comes in a handy plastic carrying case. Of course once you put oil in the saw the case is likely going to be a mess.Charging the batteries takes about two hours. I can't yet comment on the how long the batteries will cut as I've only had a few branches to trim. But with two batteries, I'm sure I'll will work out okay. The gloves are nothing special. I'll be using my regular work gloves. The weight of the saw is not too bad, either. The built-in chain tensioner is a nice feature that's easy to use. Changing chain bars is fairly straightforward. Just remove the screw, knock out the clip, reattach the clip to the chain bar, add the chain, and reinstall.Overall a very nice small electric chain saw.

Little Chainsaw that could
The media could not be loaded. Having used many electeic chainsaws, pole saws, and mini chainsaws, I can attest to the function and power of this power tool.It comes with a nice case with extra chains and the 8" extension.I quickly changed it to the 8" extension and it was a simple process. You can change the size without tools which is a plus. I removed 2 small trees with it and it worked well.It does have a sensitive surge protector but this isn't much of an issue, and will actually keep the overall tool's life working propely for a longer time. Just take out battery and reconnect. In the video I demonstrate a this chainsaw cross cutting a 7" diameter, peice of seasoned ash wood. Ash is a hardwood and this saw managed it well.Overall this is a great saw.I recommend.

Not as strong as it as it is
My hedge trimmer works better than thisI bought this to cut limbs off of trees, and it keeps cutting off. It gets stuck. The safety feature doesn’t allow you to use only one hand to be able to cut with not a good item not what it was advertised to be.

Bar oil is to thick. Needs a thinner oil.
Like the saw. Nice and light and easy to use. Put bar oil in it and even at room temp the oil is to thick. Can hardly get the pump to work. Going to try what some use in gas chain saws. That it use vegetable oil. Really looking forward to working with the saw. Will post update after I use it a bit.

It Has It’s Quirks
The media could not be loaded. I already have a cordless reciprocating saw for cutting limbs that is basically a Swazall, but it really doesn’t have the cutting capability of a chainsaw. I have been using gas powered chainsaws for over 40 years and presently have an 18 inch Stihl MS250. The Takuoo Cordless Mini Chainsaw will come in handy for cutting small limbs and is more convenient than a heavy gas chainsaw. I have tested the Takuoo and it will work out for me, but it has some quirks, as follows:1. It is hard to get the chain tensioned right with the Takuoo chain tensioning mechanism. The old screw type tensioner is a lot better.2. I used regular chainsaw chain oil when I tested the Takuoo, and I did not see any oil on the chain or bar. I did see some oil at the small chamber next to the bar attachment. It is supposed to have automatic oiling mechanism. No oil type is specified and I think a less viscous oil should be used with the Takuoo. Note: gas operated chainsaws have hot engines that the heat the bar oil and make it flow.3. The instructions say to fill the chain oil reservoir 2/3rds full, but there is now way of know what 2/3rds is.4. I did get the chainsaw hung up when cutting a branch and shutdown. I got it unstuck, but it would not startup. After a couple of minutes the saw started up and worked as it did before.5. The case is nice to have and keep all the components stored in one neat place. The minor issue I have with the case is that it is a bit small. You can leave the 6in. chain on the saw and it fits in the case, but you cannot leave the 8in. chain on and get it to fit in the case. Just have to remove the 8in. bar when storing it in the case.6. The batteries fully charged have about 20.5V, but so are all 18V battery packs for other cordless tools. The advertised 21V is a maximum. A very important thing, is that an 18V Makita battery would fit this chainsaw and the Makita actually has the 20.5V to operate this saw, but if you use the Makita you will probably fry the saw’s circuits, because they are not the same batteries per se. The smaller inner slot on a Makita puts out +18V, whereas the Takuoo battery puts out less than 1 volt, so you will probably fry the chainsaw’s circuits. Why couldn’t they use the same battery as Makita? Why don’t they warn you not to use a Makita battery? Yet they use the identical configuration of a Makita battery. It’s the 21V selling point that makes you think you are getting a better battery.7. The 6in. chain has 39 – 1/4in. drive links and it appears that the standard is 37 drive links. I could not find a replacement chain with 39 drive links; not even Takuoo sells 39 drive link chains for 6in. chain/bars. You will have to purchase a new bar and 37 drive link chains for the 6in. chain replacement. As for the 8in. chain I was able to find 45 – 1/4in. drive links replacement chains. Here is the review ranking basis that I have adopted:⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.
