Amazing product
I recently purchased this pickleball paddle as a gift for a dear friend who is a diehard pickleball player, and I couldn't be happier with the result. The paddle arrived in perfect condition and my friend was absolutely delighted with it. From the moment they started using it, they were thoroughly impressed with the level of control and power it provided. The craftsmanship and quality of this paddle truly stood out, and it quickly became their go-to paddle for every game. I highly recommend this paddle to anyone looking for a top-notch playing experience. Thank you so much for such an amazing product!

Great value for the money
I grabbed this to test out and see if it's something that I wanted to keep and play the game with. I've been playing just a few months at this point and have began looking for the paddles I want to progress farther with, I was feeling like my starter sets had suddenly became obsolete, I'm wanting to learn to really spin and control that ball. Our starter set paddles just weren't doing that. Now in the interest of full disclosure I have received this item in exchange for an honest and unbiased review, and that's exactly what you're going to get. When I first received and opened the box I was pretty pleased with the quality of packaging. Reality is all paddles should be shipped like these are. The paddle itself looks great, the pattern is nice, the handle is well sized for numerous hand sizes. I also have received 3 other paddles of different makes and models with another couple coming shortly, so I at minimum can get experience with many different paddles to determine what I do and do not like about each one.I love that it comes with a protective cover, the cover fits great and will do a great job protecting the paddle. Everyone that has tried it was happy with the way it felt in the hand, it's balance and overall comfort. In play it seemed to require a little more effort on my part to get a good pop off the paddle, and it's a medium spin paddle as well, the texture just isn't as grabby as the other paddles. As I was playing as a single against my daughters playing as doubles I noticed that the missing pop farther from the net did affect my game slightly until I made the adjustment. Once I made the adjustment I actually quite liked the way it played. Around the net I was killing them with the extra spin I never had before and the larger paddle face creates a giant sweet spot. This paddle has excellent control. This paddle did shine near the net, I found that with the slightly diminished pop came a higher level of control at the net. Had this paddle had a heavier grit and more spin I would have absolutely fell in love with this as a doubles paddle to create havoc at the net. And at current I will be keeping this paddle to use during doubles as I do really like how it plays at the net, but once I get a higher spin paddle that plays well at the net I will move this one out of the bag. Playing singles though I really missed the extra pop the other paddles did have over this one. After a couple hours use this paddle is hardly showing any sign of wear at all.Pros - very affordable, excellent control, nice cover, comfortable grip.Cons - only medium spin and pop on this oneYou will not be unhappy with this paddle if you get it. If you are an ex tennis player and have plenty of pop already you may seriously dig this paddle. I myself don't prefer this one over a couple of the others, especially for singles play. I would have given this paddle a 3.5, but I feel it was closer to a 4 than a 3 and since I can't do a .5 a 4 it is.

Great paddle for this price range
This is a $40 paddle being sold around $40. That doesn't sound very praiseworthy until you've reviewed a bunch of $25 paddles selling at $50. I've played a lot of pickleball and have sampled a lot of paddles at different price points. This is a very fair deal. The carbon fiber surface makes it easy to get decent spin with these paddles. Nothing mind-blowing, but way better than any fiberglass paddles. The paddle offers a high amount of control at the net. I found it easy to play my dink-game with this paddle, and reset any hard shots coming at me - returning a volley or dink that slowed the pace of the ball down and forced my opponents to play a dink-game. In that sense, the control of this paddle was very nice. It will really help you master your soft game.My paddle weighed exactly 8.0oz, which is a pretty ideal starting weight for most players. I don't have an expensive machine to test paddle swing or twist weights, but I suspect the twist weight is a bit high on these Solskens. That means the sweet-spot is a little small... you'll notice this the most when you're back at the baseline trying to defend against hard fast groundstrokes from the opposite side.In the $40 range, this is an acceptable trade-off. And in fact, because these weigh in at 8oz... I would suggest adding 1oz of lead tape to the left & right paddle sides to improve your power a bit from the baseline. You might also consider a configuration in which you add 2oz on each side, or 1oz each side and 1oz at the top.All in all, if you've got the $80-$100 to spend on a next tier paddle, I'd say do that. But if your budget is capped around $40-$50, and you want to dominate with a soft net game - this is an excellent choice and a smart way to progress your skills. This paddle will help you play soft and controlled at the net while learning a bit of spin as well.
