DELSEY Paris Hyperglide Softside Expandable Luggage with Spinner Wheels, Black, Checked-Large 29 Inch

I’ve only used this suitcase for one trip so far, but I feel like it got put thru its paces. We went to Montreal with an overnight in Chicago, had to walk several blocks thru downtown Chicago to our destination, and this bag did superb, even though it was stuffed FULL (and expanded) and had my carry-on and my purse sitting on top. It rolled extremely easily and smoothly over grates and uneven sidewalks, across construction, up and down hills, up and down stairs and escalators…it made it super easy getting from point A to point B. The inside is no frills, large enough for this FL girl to bring enough winter clothes and shoes/boots to be comfortable in Montreal in December for a full week (and I do NOT pack lightly). It seemed to have a little bit of trouble rolling if I had it sideways next to me and was pushing it, it would start to spin around til the back of the bag was facing forward. It just did better for me facing backwards and slightly behind me…but that could’ve just been me, this is my first spinner bag so I may have been pushing it ”wrong”, or the stuff on top could’ve been throwing off the center of gravity. Not a big deal overall for me though, once I got it into a comfortable position, the wheels glided very nicely over multiple types of surfaces, and neither the bag itself nor the wheels seem to be any worse for wear after being checked at multiple airports. All the zippers functioned well, very smooth zipping and unzipping, and were easy to grab. The overweight indicator was a thoughtful and unobtrusive addition, and also functioned well.Having said all that, there are a few MINOR things I’d change:1) Have the mesh zippered pocket inside the lid be a wet pocket instead (so, plastic covering instead of mesh),2) Make the included toiletries bag divisible, so that the 3 sections came apart and could be stowed inside separately rather than just as one bundle, for space-purposes (sometimes it’s easier to find 3 smaller spots to put stuff than 1 large spot),3) There is a large “brick” at the top of the inside of the case, I imagine it has something to do with the telescoping handle’s mechanism, but it takes up a decent amount of space inside. I’d like to see that be smaller and less obtrusive.Other than that, the suitcase is fantastic so far and I’d definitely recommend it.

We've been buying the Delsey Helium model bag for years. This Hyperglide seems to be the same bag as Helium with a new name. It's fantastic. We travel constantly, both for business and leisure, and only buy carry-on sized bags. The 20" with the spinner wheels is really more like a 21" bag, not small at all, and fits in every overhead. The fabric is durable, the telescoping handle is strong, the wheels are the best ever, and the light weight at 5.9 pounds is incredible. I like to buy things to bring home when I travel, and there's a weight limit on bags, so I don't want a bag that's heavy when it's empty. Really couldn't be happier. We hope that Delsey keeps making this bag, no matter what they name it. Note, the Optima bags are not the same, they're lower quality. Go with the Helium or Hyperglide (same bag, two names) for astounding quality.

WOW! This is just an amazing suitcase. First the color is perfect and matches the photo exactly. The stitching is very secure and there are little pads to help protect the upper corners on this bag unlike one of my others from a different company. I love the spacing of the wheels as it adds alot of stability. The wheels ride smooth and spin easily, and we had no issue with them on carpet. The inside has plenty of room and the bonus accessory bag was a welcome surprise. I would recommend using packing cubes to keep things organized, but this is a bag you should definitely get.

As others have mentioned, the attachment point for the zipper pulls are a problem. First trip with these and one of the attachment points bent and the zipper was lost. I bought some replacement pulls but the fit is too tight. The large compartment has a loop for a lock which would also be a perfect attachment point, but unfortunately the broken one has no such loop. Still a very nice piece of luggage.

I was researching luggage for quite a while. I thought I would get hard luggage, but in the end I decided on this suitcase. It is very light and glides beautifully. The teal color is a stand out! I am very pleased with it. I got the 25 inch for an overseas trip in October. Now I only hope that I will be able to go. It was postponed from last October. Get your vaccination!!!!

We bought one of these a few years ago and now have bought a second one so that we can each have one. :-) It is very light weight and very large, but can fit one both domestic and international flights. Highly recommend.

I bought a black one and liked it so much I bought a second. Loved the way it looks, lightweight, durable and glides with the double wheels . I just replaced older version that we had. A great suitcase.

Having been an exclusive Delsey Finatticz for probably the Past five years, I was very happy to get this bag it was going to replace one that was wearing out after about 200,000 miles. I used this bag one time and then immediately went to a different brand, that’s how bad it is. It seems to be much cheaper materials than Delsey‘s in the past, The construction is inferior, and quality is not there. I loaded this with 37 pounds of clothing, about 10 pounds less than I normally carry, and the bottom of the bag where the wheels are is so flimsy that the wheels on the front started to buckle and it wouldn’t roll sideways or forwards, I had to roll it with the back straightahead because those are the only wheels that didn’t collapse. Every threshold, every rug, everything other than solid smooth surface gave it problems and it became very difficult to deal with. The edges were the wheels are reinforced but that’s it, very flimsy fabric between the wheels across the long and the narrow sides, and that causes it to be forward heavy and not roll correctly. I always loved Delsey and had five or six other bags that never gave me problems, but this one is not worth a fourth the price. I’m very happy with my new brand and I don’t anticipate going back to Delsey again, I just can’t spend that money and take a risk then I’ll get another poor quality bag. They’ve really gone downhill.
