Captain Underpants: 10 Book Set

PLEASE READ: Not that it's detrimental, but please note that these are the UK versions of the books in which some parts are slightly different, different slang is used, etc. in comparison to the US version.

My four year old loves having me read these to him at bedtime. This set is a great value compared to buying the books separately. Giving 3 stars because these stories truly don't have any good message to them, and are pretty annoying to read as a parent. I wonder if parents who buy these really know the content. I wish I hadn't started reading these to my son, but its too late for me- save yourself if you plan to read these to your kid and buy something else!

Was disappointed that the books shown were not the books delivered. ‘Super Diaper Baby’ and the ‘Books of Fun 1 & 2’ were not included. Three other books were included instead, but we bought the full set, in part, for Super Diaper Baby. Otherwise, the books are a fun read for my 6 year olds.

This is more a review of the product, rather than the books themselves (mostly).Great product for the money. If your child (or inner child) needs a large collection of the Captain Underpants books, this is the one to get.However, American customers be warned - this is the British version of the books. The differences are slight, but you will notice British "translations" throughout the book - "flavour", "carpark", "nappy", "mummy" etc. Not a deal breaker but the most noticeable part is changing the name of Dr. Diaper to "Dr. Nappy". So it could cause some confusion among your child's book club discussions.

My kids love the stories, and I was very happy when I received this set. The covers look nice, and overall the print quality of these books is fine. However, the binding of these books leaves a lot to be desired. After a few reads, the first few pages of several books started coming out. They were basically coming loose from the spine and just falling out. Very disappointed in the quality of the finishing. Buyer beware!

My son is 7 and autistic and these books are a huge hit with him!He is picky about what we read at bedtime it always has to be something silly 🙃 so these books were perfect, he loves to have the books to the shows he watches so he can compare them and captain underpants is one of his favorite shows ever!

My 6 year old daughter absolutely loves these books. These books are highly recommended for elementary students were just beginning to read. Some of the verbiage used in these books is very difficult, and the parents would have to read the books to the kids, but with time the children begin to understand and develop an interest in reading themselves. I was really excited to order the entire set. My only qualm would have to be that these books do not come in a boxed set. So there is that 10% chance of damage to the covers on re-reading these books. Other than that, the books were delivered in pristine condition. The delivery was exceptionally fast. I will definitely order again if needed.

Children really love the stories. Easy to understand and no complications. Of course paper are recycled but after one day, many papers got detached form the books. That means one book can be read by one child only and cannot pass it on to others.It is to unfortunate that we had to keep mending the books. I wish author can look into this matter in the future because that is not sustainable.

After reading these books with my 7 year old son I am as much as a fan as he is, if not more. The books are interesting, funny, outrageous and a pleasure to read. The addition of "flip-o-rama" is a welcome repeated occurrence; the sillier the story with the right blend of humour and tongue twisters are excellent for kids that love to read. I am hoping Dav Pilkey continues with the series as we have read the latest 11th and 12th Captain Underpants and wanting more. Highly recommended. Tra laa-laa

These are not books written for adults. They are not written to be shared with adults. They are written to be passed from child to child, whispering and pointing out the funny bits. The flick pages are very clever and even readers who really struggle will want to get their hands on these. Yes, they cause behaviour issues in the classroom, but the type of issue you want - getting the children to put the books down ready to do some schoolwork.

it’s very good and it’s amazing 😉 it’s about 2 boys that save the world 🌍 named George and Harold, and a very mean principal named Mr Crup (who got hypnotised into captain underpants) and they had many journeys...

Delivered ok and packed well. Unfortunately the pages in the books are not bound very well, or at all. Chaos / unusable with young readers.
