Hitchcock's Storyboards
For anyone interested in how Hitchcock constructed his movies and those that worked with him, this book is indispensable. Technical, but very readable.

A Great Insider's View on How Hitchcock Worked
Anyone who has read about Alfred Hitchcock knows that storyboards played a very big part in his work. Before he ever set foot on a set he would have everything storyboarded, So, this book is a fascinating look into how this extremely visual director planned his films. We not only get to see these very detailed and insightful storyboards for such movies as "Vertigo" The Birds" and more but the author provides interesting summaries of these films and behind the scenes stories. I definitely recommend for anyone who is a real fan of Hitchcock.Jennifer LaffertyAuthor of "Movie Dynasty Princesses"

Stunning reproductions of archival art + info on the individual artists
The insightful new book on ‘Hitchcock’s Storyboards’ is an exciting addition to any fan of Hitch, storyboards & production artwork. Tony has unearthed treasures from the archives and his profiles of Hitch collaborators like production illustrator Dorothea Holt and storyboard artists Harold Michelson, Mentor Huebner & Tom Wright is the stuff I’m always looking for. If you’re a fan of The Master, production art and cinema history add this book to your collection.

Where are the storyboards?
I preordered this book because I was excited to see extensive storyboards from Alfred Hitchcock's films. I am disappointed to put it mildly. Actual storyboards consist of less than half of the published artwork. It's mostly set design illustrations, but at least those are images. The majority of the pages are filled with text that I would wager is recycled from other texts by Tony Lee Moral. Ironically, the title and description of this book are decidedly immoral in their duplicity. Save yourself the time and money and do a google image search for "Hitchcock storyboards."

Not worth the price
The content is great but the book is much thinner than I expected and its own layout, font choices, and graphic design are kind of an eyesore and doesn’t mesh well with the quality of Hitchcock’s storyboards or his noir themed movies. This would have been better produced in the hands of Taschen or Rivoli. Not worth $50. Maybe half

Masterclass in historical boards
Really enjoyed this book. I am a storyboard artist by profession, and a director I work with alerted me to it this books release - I am so glad he did! Wonderful images on the whole process, and my, how much the industry has changed - boards are now zippy lineworks and tones done on a tablet (mostly), these historical boards are pure pieces of art! A real wonder to read through.

Good book, but slightly disappointed
As a filmmaker, Information-wise there's a lot, which is super nice. But as a storyboard artist who skims straight to the board bits, I wish there were more drawings than words, especially for a storyboard book.If you think it'll be like the Star Wars storyboard books, like back-to-back frames, look away.I preordered this so it was a gamble, but honestly, it's a little too pricey for what it's worth.I'll be keeping it cos I'm an AH fan, but for the reviews, I'll be taking two stars off for too many words, a lack of images, and it being kinda thin.

Great Book
As a film pro I can say that this book contains a lot of information I did not not previously know. It also features a lot of production illustrations that can be found in no other book I own or know of. A gem for production designers, storyboard artists and film enthusiasts.
