Like Wingspan, with Dragons and Caves
If you like Wingspan, you'll love Wyrmspan: dragons instead of birds. It's a little bit more complicated, with more ways to get Victory Points, but it essentially plays the same way. We haven't yet worked out which are the most desirable dragons, i.e. the Wyrmspan equivalent of Crows and Ravens, and you also have Caves to consider. Like Wingspan, it's a great game for two. It takes up a little more table space though.

Great Game
A game that needs thought and read the instructions first. All the family really enjoyed playing this.

If you like Wingspan or dragons you'll love this
We play this game quite often and really enjoy it. The rules are very similar to Wingspan but different enough that you do feel like you are playing a different game. If you haven't played Wingspan before, or are new to board games, I would still highly recommend it. The rules aren't too complicated, so just have a good time getting dragons and laying eggs!

Better than Wingspan
I played this with my family and we all agreed this was more enjoyable than Wingspan. It plays slightly similar with a bunch of changes that I liked.

Beautiful game, solid gameplay
Doesn’t feel like you’re playing against the other players, the art is delightful and it’s easy to pick up. Even has a single player option, would recommend.

Brilliant
Got this game as a Christmas present. It’s beautifully presented, and the artwork on the cards is really pretty - slowing our first game down as every dragon needed a discussion.Initial set up took a little longer than hoped and so did the first round but once we got the hang of it the game play is actually quite straightforward. We played with an 8 and 11 year old (none of us had played wingspan or wyrmspan before) and both understood the game, enjoyed it and have asked to play again. It’s an expensive game but one that I think we will play and enjoy for a long time.

Phenomenal in more than one way
There are two equally excellent aspects of this game. The game:The actual game mechanics are brilliant. I found it preferable to wingspan (its forebear) with some good tweaks. If you play modern board games you'll be fine. There is a learning curve, but just roll with it until everything clicks. We played this as a family including teenagers who are familiar with modern games. For context my other favourite games include surviving mars, ark nova and everdell. This has similarities to all three of these and a lot of replayabilityThe 'package'Special credit has to be given to the quality of materials used. Every single component of the game oozes quality. The player boards are thick and gorgeous. The cards are plentiful and the artwork is a labour of love. Even the instruction book is printed on some lovely textured paper. All the other pieces also feel like they have been made with an eye to quality rather than cost cutting. So 10/10 for putting together a truly special game with a lot of replayability.

Like Wingspan but better
Have played this quite a lot. It's a more refined version of Wingspan but with dragons. The mechanics feel tighter and games seem to be closer.
