I have got an overhead light for streaming which I use from time to time. The cable which comes with it is supidly short and comes across my workspace which is quite unsightly. I got this cable to fix this exact issue!The cable itself is well built, sporting metal connector shells and a braided cable. The connector shells are in a silver metal with a good quality finish. The actual USB connectors were a little tight on first use but work great! The connector housings have a really decent amount of strain relief to them, this is made of plastic and is quite flexible. This then goes into the braided cable, almost looking like a dragon scale finish, the braiding is a good quality weave fabric. There is no bumps or lumps to the sleeving.In the middle of the cable is an on/ off switch. This is made of plastic and the switch snaps from open to closed. Its quite satisfying to press.The cable is currently positioned over head going to the light which is now constantly plugged in, when it comes time to stream, I just click the switch and the light is on! It has been working great!Overall, the price for this is very reasonable and the cable is good quality. I can highly recommend it!

This is a 300cm (10ft) long USB lead M to F with a toggle switch at one end.It is covered with a strong and flexible double braided outer casing that will protect it from any day to day use for a long time.We do not have enough electrical outlets in our home, when it was built in the mid 1970's no one could have predicted how many connected devices would become the norm 5 decades later!We have swapped all of out double outlets to ones with built in USB sockets, but they are few and far between!If I want to charge my mobile phone and be able to use it at the same time, in the comfort of my favourite armchair, I can only do so if there is a socket close enough, which there isn't in my home!Not only that but I need the socket to be accessible without having to move furniture!This lead solves all of that hassle ridiculously easily!It is long enough to reach my favourite armchair and I can switch between devices and switch them on or off without even having to get up! Perfect!It works perfectly on everything I have tried it on so far, I dont use any fast chargers so the fact it isn't compatible isn't an issue to me!I am very happy with this long overdue lead!Why no one thought of making it sooner is beyond me!Happy to help!This was on an offer at the time of review making it outstanding value for money!

Chances are you're not going to be interested in using this as an extension so much as you're thinking of being able to switch something on and off, and for that purpose it functions perfectly. The plugs, their casings and the strain relief are all nice, and I like the braided finish to the cable (unlike one of the other reviewers here). The switch itself is a 'proper' affair, rated for AC mains voltages, like you'd find on a table lamp.You have to consider your use case, I think. I've got some USB-powered LED lights that now have a power switch where once I had to physically unplug them - that's a good example - and I'm thinking of a Raspberry Pi next. I've only tried power uses, not data uses - it's only going to manage USB 2 after all - but I think that's all these were really designed for.So yeah. Pretty good. You can get cheaper but the finish of this is nicer than a PVC cord with moulded ends, so it gets a nod from me.

This works perfectly. The company seems to care. I like being able to kill the power on something with this and not have to unplug all the time. The quality seems fine and it's a good value.
