Single 45mm ATI nVidia Video Card Fan Replacement (Mounting Holes Distance ~26mm)

This fan has the right spacing on the mounting tabs but they are 3/8" shorter. I had to pull the heat sink off the card and drill and tap 3 new holes.The new fan does not have recessed holes so the original screws hit the blades no matter how tight they are.I was lucky that I had a bunch of old computer screws and was able to get 3 flat heads that worked.Because i disturbed the heat sink seal I had to buy a tube of silver based heat sink grease which cost way more than I wanted to spend in the first place. Now I have a $40 tube of this stuff I will never use again along with a titanium drill bit and a tap.$6.49 fan. Total cost to get it mounted correctly >$50.Time to install was over 2 hours and should have been 10 minutes.For all the trouble I am giving this 3 stars.

GT 240 fan locked up so I took a shot at this one the screw holes didn't line up so I drilled out the holes a little and used different screws. At first the fan didn't turn on and I nearly burned the card up. I didn't notice that the polarity was reversed. This fan was not made for my card for sure but it will work after the above mentioned modifications.

Exact replacement for my GPU fan. No glue, no polarity switching needed. Longevity... we'll see...
