Who knew?)I highlighted 96 notes in this book for future use. Great book with loads of helpful hints.

I've always been a fan of bicarbonate of soda, but this book expands my knowledge. Just the information on how to make baking powder was so enlightening. I didn't realize baking powder contained aluminum.I've been cleaning my stove with a combination of baking soda and toothpaste for years, made into a paste - for stubborn baked on spots, I just 'soak' it over night with a layer of the paste covered with a wet cloth, then use a plastic scrubber to scrub it up the next day. It leaves the surface sparkling with a fresh, minty smell. And it's totally non-toxic; no gloves and no fumes.

This is a pretty good little book to have around. Gives some really interesting and in-depth information about baking soda!! You will know way more than you ever wanted to know or about baking soda after reading this book!!, it does have a ton of ways to use baking soda for cleaning, polishing, illness & cooking. If its not in this book I'd be surprised!!

I have Ms Briggs books on Practical houshold uses for Bicarboante of soda, lemon, vinager and salt. i think they are all excellent additions to my home reference books. The main reason i got them was the cleaning recipes, but they also cover history of the product, and cooking recipes and hints and tips. i dont read them cover to cover, just the sections i need at the time.

This book had quite a few things listed That I already use baking soda for but also had a few that were new to me,it really helps me save money and space on not buying separate cleaners when one can do many jobs.

I've been using more natural products to clean to get away from some of the chemicals in store-bought cleaners. This has alot of practical uses, and I can't wait to try them all. I highly recommend this book.

So many uses of a common household product and such a bargain, too. It's nice to have a concise guide to refer to.

I bought one of these for each of my grown up children with homes of their own so that they can get to know the benefits of bicarbonate of soda.

This is a really interesting little book with lots of tips and suggestions. I haven't tried any of the recipes yet but I am planning to. Who would have thought that there are so many things that you can do with bicarb. - and every hint and tip being completely chemical free. I especially like the tip about using bicarb to remove build up of hairspray etc from my hair - it works too.

Good old bicarb is one of my favourite household standbys. As someone who tries to use as few chemicals as possible, I love that there is a little book (Kindle version) to remind me of all the useful ways I can use it. Even the 'sciencey' bit is done in a way that is actually interesting.Not great literature, but it does what it says on the box!
