Riley Thorne Part 4
This book was a good palate cleanser. It was lighthearted and funny. It built upon the previous three books and picked up right where the last one ended.Riley Thorne and her gang of friends and family are so fun. I love the humor and the supernatural aspects. I love the outlandish things her elderly friends come up with. Nick is turning into the perfect partner for her and really redeemed himself in this book. He was all in with Riley and finding ways to show her that. This was the perfect summer read. Light and fun and full of all the characters I’ve come to love.

Guaranteed To Strengthen Your Facial Muscles Responsible For Smiles And Laughter!!
The Riley Thorn novels haven’t failed me yet. What a hilarious, wacky story that entertains with each and every paragraph…. Literally. Lucy, you are a one of a kind author, unmatched in the romantic comedy genre. As a private investigator, Nick Santiago reluctantly agrees to take on the case of the narcissistic, ex-husband of Riley Thorn, Griffin Gentry. Someone is trying to kill him…… but who???? With Nick’s partner, Ms. Penny, the investigation ensues. Gabe and the misfit senior cast of characters add to the hilarious scenarios. This story is SO AMAZINGLY FUNNY and truly a wonderful escape read! The Audible companion is icing on the cake. Very well narrated. If you have not read the other books in this series, I strongly suggest to begin with Book1 and continue in order. Each and every installment is equally priceless! Can’t wait for the next adventure. This is a series that should never have an end point!!Thank you, Lucy Score, for sharing your stellar writing and storytelling skills with your readers, and thank you, wholeheartedly, for bringing joy and laughter to our world that is in dire need of lighthearted escapism. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️…….

Hilarity is Back With Riley Thorn, Nick and the Whole Gang!
The Body In The Backyard is another fun installment of the Riley Thorn series. The Romcom Murder Mystery takes a surprising turn when beginner psychic Riley Thorn and her hot Private Investigator boyfriend Nick grudgingly take on her narcissistic nitwit ex-husband as a client. The long list of suspects and their motives are cleverly weaved into the story. All the cast of characters that we absolutely loved from the previous books hilariously play important roles in this book (Mrs Penny and Riley’s former senior citizen roommates along with Gabe, Josie, Brian, family members and friends all are in this book too). One of my favorite parts of this book is when Riley and Nick babysit their neices as it was a perfect mix of sweetness and humor when a man turns into a teddybear while spoiling four little girls and his girlfriend. The whodunit reveal was fun and I did not see it coming and the ending was great!I love this series as it provides a light hearted murder mystery with lots of comedy, some swoon and romance and fantastic side characters that are scene stealers! The Riley Thorn series is a feel good, laugh out loud, comfort read that will just make you feel happy. I hope there are many more Riley Thorn books in this series.

Just Too Unbelievable
First I would like to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed the series up until this last book. And even in this book I did still laugh out loud at points, so kudos for that. But the 2 characters they need to protect were just so out there that you couldn't even relate to them. What makes things funny is when there is enough real life in there that you can relate to it and see people you know and that was missing from this book. Nick's competitiveness is beginning to become annoying and make me like him less as our H. And I felt the book was too long; I found myself itching to skip a few pages because it seemed to just be the same scenes over and over with the neighbor bunch. If the series continues, I hope we dial back on some of these things and introduce something new. As always I love the Harrisburg setting!

my favorite one yet!
“Is there anything more delectable than a grumpy, naked man in the morning?”Riley, Nick and the gang are back! This is book 4 in the series and might just be my favorite yet!Riley’s ex- husband shows up begging for help, someone is out to get him and the only who can help him is Riley. Our favorite octogenarians are back at it again, making themselves useful as they try to narrow down their suspect list. The list is long! Who did Griffin not annoy?!Mystery, Romance, and lots of laugh out laughter, what else can you ask for?Love seeing all the side characters but best of all I love all the swoony scenes between Riley and Nick!

Riley & Nick
✩3.5✦What to Expect✦•He’s a grumpy PI•She’s a psychic•They have elderly neighbors•Laugh out loud moments✦Characters✦•Riley Thorn•Nick Santiago ✦Fav Quotes✦They owned a home together. They worked together. They had a dog together. This wasn’t just another new relationship. This was the relationship. This was it. She was it.But this is us. Messy. Complicated. Slightly injured. Standing in the middle of yet another crime scene together after saving the day.✦Thoughts✦I have had a fun time reading these books. I liked that we are getting little more from some of the side characters as well. Gabe evolving and learning from them, I loved it! Weber & Jasmine… I want & need more because those two have chemistry! It was like all the side characters from all the books came together in this one and I thoroughly enjoyed it.Such a cute & fun read!

Saving her ex?
If it weren't for their need for money, Nick and Riley would have never taken her ex-husband as a client when someone's trying to kill him.Thank the gods they did!Griffin Gentry is the epitome of narcissism, which makes things funnier when you realize he's totally clueless about the things going on around him unless he can twist them around in his favour.Of course, Mrs Penny, Gabe and the rest are available to lend a hand, even when it's no asked for.If you haven't read this delightful book, run, do no walk, to your nearest bookstore and grab a copy. It's 5 star worthy!

Are there more coming?
I devoured this series in rapid succession. Romantic suspense is (wasn’t) one of my preferred sub-genres, but this series is first and foremost a belly-aching romcom. I love the wacky side-kick characters, and can’t wait to see what the next development brings!

Loved it!
You’d think by now the fart jokes would be getting old, but nope, not even slightly; I smiled and laughed the whole book through. I love Riley Thorn and her geriatric entourage and can’t wait to see what they get up to next.So what can you expect this time around? Riley is still struggling to utilise her gifts properly. This time it’s the issue of focusing on her gift while surrounded by absolute chaos. Gabe shows us a little more of what he’s capable of, the elders are let loose on society and Blossom may have finally found a way to one-up her husband and his spite cow. Griffin is every bit as infuriating as he always has been, if not more so. I was surprised to find that my opinion on him could sink lower. (Now maybe you won’t be). Bella offers us a surprise or two, but no, I’m not going to ruin them for you. But really, I think Nick might have stolen the show in this one. I’m becoming more and more convinced that he might be the perfect book boyfriend. He’s flawed but oh so adorable at times. I am loving watching him grow into a fully functioning adult and how he’s navigating being in a proper relationship for the first time. There’s just something about Nick and Riley as a couple. They might just be ‘relationship goals.’This series is full of silliness and seriously, sticky situations. I am thoroughly enjoying the journey and can’t wait to see what kind of high jinks they’ll find themselves in next. Keep them coming, Lucy!

Happy giggles
Every time a new book in this series comes out, I have to re-start from the first book and still have a good giggle through each book. I really love the humanity of the characters and want to have everything fresh in my mind so I can really enjoy the newest release. I love the interpersonal and inter generational shenanigans Lucy creates while leaving just enough breadcrumbs to engage my love of murder mysteries.Whole heartedly hoping that there will be many more books in this series!I don’t normally do reviews so apologies if this isn’t quite what it should be.
