Helps in walking and stairs
These tips are great and help propel you forward faster and easier. They also help slow you down going on a downward slope. The problem with these is that you have to turn the crutches around depending upon the terrain. I didn't realize this my first time going downward in the movie theater as we walked out. I fell forward and luckily my spouse caught me. Once I learned I have to turn them, they work great and control my downward momentum. The same works for stairs. So... for someone young (under 50) these work great. I would never recommend for an older or more disabled person. There is thinking that goes in to using these crutches. BTW, I do not use these in the middle of the night. I use a traditional crutch to ensure I do not fall.

which look like golf club "heads"
The tips, which look like golf club "heads", are actually a worthwhile purchase. I was skeptical, but with the loose sand and gravel driveway that I encounter outdoors, I needed a crutch "footprint" that would keep me upright in the great outdoors, here in the Mojave Desert. There is one disadvantage--a minor one--the tips sometimes get caught under high-sill doors or other objects that are about the same width that the tips are. I don't think many of us who are on crutches will have this problem, but it's not difficult to resolve when it does occur. The "footprint" also works well on shiny tile floors, and on carpeted surfaces.

Waste of money!
These lasted less than a month for someone who was down 80% of the time. Expensive and worthless.

Failed unsafely with punch through with about 15 hours use.
Until the tip(s) failed, worked rather nicely as a more ergonomic tip and one that handled softer country soil better than standard tips. However, there was NO metal cup or washer inside the tip where the crutch end seats into the tip. And as such, in around 15 hours of usage, the hollow crutch end punctured through the tip. See picture. I weigh around 225 lbs and so a lighter person probably would get considerably more hours out of the tip. Bit still when the aluminum crutch end punctures the tip, this produces a major safety issue. For me this happened when I entered a garage with a smooth concrete floor and the aluminum crutch end slipped on the smooth concrete causing me to role and sprain my good ankle. If these were engineered smartly and included the expected metal seat cup, these would be a five star item. But given their design defect and the risk of serious injury when unexpectedly failing, I am generous to give it two stars.

They are well made and universal to most crutches and canes. Good for the price
I have gotten so many compliments and interests in these from physical therapist, doctors, surgeons, medical staff and more! I live where it gets very muddy fast and snow (lots of it too) and the treads have been good. Reminds me of tractor tire tread. I also live with various inclines and declines, rocky, etc and it's nice you can use either direction of these to help assist your walking. They have some weight to them very sturdy, easy to get on and off, and definitely helps with regulating a more natural walk, and they have not dry rotted yet from all the weather and temp changes with the wear and tear. I have to be on my crutches for 6-12 weeks from extensive hip surgery so having a more walking gate with these makes it easier to balance. Just be careful going up and down stairs and pay attention to any lips because the on side is longer and can catch if you do not lift it high enough. I wish they made these with added or optional studs on the bottom because they are no ice friendly. Other wise I would definitely recommend this product!

Excellent product for added confidence and security.
When I broke my fibula at the end of October, I didn't imagine having to cope with snow and ice until later in my treatment. However, by November 15th, we had a foot of snow, some thawing and re-freezing to contend with. I was using crutches that had been used already, and the factory installed "feet" were wearing thin on tread... in fact, I ended up blowing right through them and then it was metal crutch tip on tile floor - not good. I acquired new crutches, thanks to my insurance, but ordered these crutch feet on the same day, thinking that I didn't want to be in that situation again, so would be ready to go with new feet if the need arose. The product arrived on time, and I replaced the blown out tips immediately, so that I could practice. I've been using them since. I'm an active person, and I have been trying to continue being active with my injury, while still following doctor's orders... these crutch tips provide much more grip when coming onto a tile floor from a wet or snowy outside. I still make sure to wipe them off as well as possible, but I haven't had one near slip since I started using them. Occasionally, the need arises for me to take the dogs outside to potty - in the last 2 weeks, weather conditions have varied from snow, to wet, to flooded, to ice... I can walk outside onto the grass, the tread provides some traction, even on ice, and because of the long shape, they do not sink in to the wet ground. I would highly recommend this product!!THAT BEING SAID - they are not idiot proof - I remain VERY cautious when crutching on tile - at work, in the grocery store, etc. - where there may be wet spots. At my last check up, the only instruction my doctor gave was, "just don't fall." So far, so good.

Crutch tip
I like the tip a lot, but the only flaw is it catches everything such as cords, doors, &etc.

They help you get around quicker than the regular tips
I have to use crutches for 3 months because of a tibial plateau break. The hospital gave me the run of the mill aluminum ones. The tips only lasted about a week. I came across these and they are amazing!!! They have a lot more cushion and have great grip. You still have to be careful on wood and tile when there is water. The tread has held up nicely and they look like i will get all two months i need out of them. Very highly recommended
