My first knife was a gift to me at Christmas. I liked it so much I have purchased four others for gifts for other people, and, so far, they all love them too. Salt cured hams should be sliced very thinly. Due to the way they are salted and smoked, the meat is very dense, unlike most hams. This knife is the ONLY one in my kitchen that easily slices through this ham and gives the very thin slices I want. It's also great for any kind of red meat. I wouldn't be without one now.

I bought two of them for my boyfriend's new apt because he didn't have good knifes and we were having a hard time cutting food for a few weeks. We like cooking together so I bought two - which were still cheap!After using them for a few months we love this knife. So sharp and easy to clean. When you cut meat you feel like you are cutting butter, and it chops veggies so fine. Love this!

The knives are nice but no cover for them???? How do I keep these from getting dull when sitting in my drawer and how do I keep myself from getting sliced up when I go to retrieve it from my drawer. These need a plastic knife protector. They had an itty-bitty plastic cap at the very tip of the knives that made it MORE dangerous b/c it was so small and just on the very tip of the blade. I could easily cut myself trying to get that on and off. So I like the knives, but they need a protective sheaf/case for them.
