I bought these to test out because we are wanting to use something like this for an upcoming family function. So before ordering like 10,000 rocks I figured I should try and make sure they were what we were looking for first. So I got these yesterday and unfortunately it was night time when I got home so I couldn't try them out right away as they need to "charge". Today I put them on a cookie sheet laid out single layer, and put them out in the sun. I left them there for a couple hours as other reviewers had suggested to leave them for a while. So I brought them in and went into the bathroom (room with no windows) to check and see if they worked and to my surprise they were all glowing! It is a gorgeous blue tone which is exactly what I was hoping for. I let in a little bit of light and they still showed perfectly, so I am confident these will work outside without any issue. I think that maybe other people who tried them and didn't like them were in an area that had a lot of street lights and and outdoor lighting, which I could see how that could be an issue. You wouldn't be able to see most solar lights in that type of environment though, so that isn't surprising. If you are like me and you live out of the city or are going to use these for an event that will not be drowned out by harsh outdoor lights, these are a definite good idea. I am going to order more and can't wait to see how gorgeous they all look together.

They don't even Illuminated very well. Only a few days after staying in the sun. I was waiting to see if they continued so I could stay the project I was going to use them for. I was going to make sure I did the project outdoors due to the sun charging them & you’re not suppose to bring inside then out, it could make them lose charge so to speak. But they're been out side for a month +. So these plastic glow"rocks" do at first but, that's it. Glad I didn't make my project then find this out.

Depending where you put them in the sun, they wont grow nd they are not NEARLY as bright as what is indicated in the pictures. The pictures are most definitely VERY exaggerated. Overall they arent horrible but i wanted something much brighter and less finicky.

i buy this one to decorate my boring room. stick on the frame as a picture. PS you have to put outside sunlight to absorb the light in order to activate the stones or else it is not bright enough. I would buy again if i need more pebbles colors. in my room. Right now i feel it is bright enough :D

I love these, but wish they were brighter. The size & quantity for the price was disappointing. I brought every single one in the house to survive the winter. They do catch light indoors in my house plants & glow slightly at night.

The reviews were so mixed, I thought I give it a chance. I left them in a single layer, outside, south exposure, in South Florida sun - and nothing. Not even a dim glow in complete darkness in my interior closet, where I tested them. Left them out for days on end - no change. Perhaps the quality control is just that poor and some buyers get "good" ones...???

I am very happy with my purchase of the Blue Glow in the Dark Stones. The Stones came in a nice resealable package along with instructions. I followed the easy to understand instructions and spread them out in a single layer and placed them in the sunlight. I thought they glowed nicely. These were EXACTLY as described I was not disappointed at all! I would recommend this product to everyone.

The stones do glow in the dark, but the light emission is so low, it has to be totally dark to see them. Any other light around will overshadow the light from the stones. Naturally, if you a lot of stones, the light will be just that more intense. I guess it depends on your application.
