Midori BRASS Fountain Pen (Japan import)

Firstly this is heavier than I anticipated, but this is no bad thing, as I feel it lends it a good writing weight. Secondly it’ll fit into a small pocket and write smoothly and reliably whilst improving the look of your handwriting. There something about a fountain pen that other pens don’t reach,

I really like the weight and feeling of quality of this pen. I just love writing with it.

Straight into my favourite pens list. Great weight and feel from the brass. The nib feels fabulous too. The only downside is only takes small cartridges but that's a function of its small size.

I really like design, materials used and quality. It is truly a great writer and my only EDC fountain pen.After trying it out, I bought second one for my collection, though back then they were £35 each.

The product is the original Traveler's Company fountain pen.Very good quality. I've been using it since the day I received it.

Excellent pen with a quality fine nib and the price was very reasonable

I'm somewhat disappointed by this pen for the following reasons:1. The barrel posting mechanism is simple push fit with a pressed springy metal insert. In my example this metal insert often springs right out of the pen when un-posting the barrel2. For me the pen is unwieldy an unbalanced. It' not really weighty but the posted cap unbalances it for me whilst using it unposted the pen is too short.3. I'm not sure whether the nib housing is brass or just brass-coloured plastic. Although not unusual this would be inconsistent with this solid- all-brass build of other TRC brass products such as the pencils which I love.There are good points however:1. Lovely pocketable size2. Feels robust - makes a reasonable EDC pen3. The nib feels bullet proof. Whilst this is not necessarily the best for writing it works for me and fits with the solid design for a dependable everyday pen.
